15.01.2022 ‘Hey Sport, R U OK?’ campaign can equip community sporting communities with resources and tips to ensure all members of their sporting community feel safe and supported. The campaign promotes an R U OK? Culture of mutual respect, trust, authenticity and a shared willingness to support those in grassroots sport who might be struggling. The ‘Hey Sport, R U OK?’ free resources will help coaches spot the signs that someone might be struggling and guide them through what to say an...d do in the event one of their athletes, players or sporting colleagues is not okay. There is no doubt sport, plays a crucial role in building community and with more than five million Australians aged 15 years and older involved in organised sport and physical activity across both playing and non-playing roles we have a shared opportunity to make a real difference.
