23.01.2022 Today we had our first Kindy 2021 Orientation session and we were blown away by how amazing they all are! It was all smiles when they arrived and they had a great time making new friends and doing activities in the classrooms. We can’t wait to see them back again next week!

21.01.2022 NAIDOC Week is a time to reflect on and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Australia’s First Nation Peoples - recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters. The theme for 2020 is ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ recognising that First Nations peoples have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. This week we participated in wonderful learning opportunities about the history of our country. Each class also created a stepping stone for our garden and we presented our updated acknowledgment of country that we wrote with Aunty Carol. Students designed a wonderful border for our acknowledgment and it will proudly hang in every room of our school. Thank you Mrs Chamron for organising the wonderful events this week.

20.01.2022 Today Preschool Koala, Early Intervention Green, KB & KS had a visit from Kindy Farm. They have been learning about farm animals and today got to hold, feed and interact with them. They all had a great time and we loved having the farm at BSIS!

17.01.2022 This year our school was very fortunate to receive a grant from the Australian Government through the Local Schools Community Fund. With this grant of $8820, our school has been able to improve our playground and develop our vegetable garden into an outdoor learning space. We were also able to purchase some large outdoor tables to be used for outdoor learning. The students are motivated to participate in outdoor learning and especially love being included in the gardening program.

16.01.2022 Today we held our 2021 school leadership speeches. We heard from 21 wonderful Year 1 students who presented so confidently to our school. Well done everyone, we are so proud of you all!

10.01.2022 Today we had our final Kindergarten Orientation Session for our 2021 Kindergarten Students. All our students have settled in very well and we look forward to their first day in 2021. Today each student received a certificate to celebrate their attendance at orientation as well as some important information regarding the Best Start Assessment and school start dates. Please contact the school is your require any further information. Today's lucky draw winner was Gaby! Congratulations Gaby you have won a $50 uniform shop voucher.

07.01.2022 Today we had our 3rd Kindergarten Orientation Session. The students are becoming very familiar with the school and we had lots of happy smiles all morning. Today we read a story about Daisy the Koala's first day of school. We then made our very own koala to take home. Next week is our last session and the students will receive a certificate as a special congratulations for completing our orientation program. This weeks lucky draw winner was Mason! Congratulations, Mason has won a $50 uniform shop voucher. Make sure you attend next week for you last chance to win a $50 voucher. 04.01.2022 Today we had our second Kindy 2021 Orientation session and they all had lots of fun! It was all smiles when they arrived and found the friends made last week and then made some more. Each student was given a bag full of resources they can use at home to help them get ready for school. Our session 1 lucky draw winner was Lawrence and our session 2 winner was Sienna. Congratulations! They have both won a $50 uniform shop voucher! We will have another draw at each of our remaining 2 sessions.
