24.01.2022 Just a couple Quick Reminders: - For all Gold Members and Transition Gold, training this afternoon starts at 4pm. - There will be a club meeting held in the club room at 5pm. We would like to encourage everyone to come along and join in discussion about club races, committee member positions and the upcoming AGM.... - Club is on next Saturday (12th) at 7:15am in the indoor pool. Squads will swim from 6:15-7:15 then participate in club afterwards. $1 per race. - For those who are swimming at speedo sprints at Guildford tomorrow; Matt will be there to warm up and coach the kids. Warm up starts at 1pm for a 2pm start; and I would like everyone to be getting there around this time so we can get a good team warm up in, and get a seating spot together as a club. Any questions just ask Matt or Ally Thanks

21.01.2022 All of our swimmers and their families would like to say a sad farewell to our former coach and friend Eddy. He will be deeply missed by all of the kids as they just loved being around him. Even though he left our club some time ago they still loved to catch up for a chat and a laugh on pool deck. We will all certainly miss seeing that smiley face around at carnivals.... We send all our love and thoughts to Samantha, his family & friends and all of his current squad at Liverpool Swimming club.

21.01.2022 SQUAD TRAINING THURSDAY PM JUNE 14TH In light of the Harlee Elite information session taking place this Thursday afternoon at 5pm, the following training changes have been made: - Gold, Silver and ETS There will be a swim session from 4:00-5:00pm in the 50m pool. - Development There will be a swim session from 4:30-5:00pm in the 25m pool. - Gym has been cancelled for all squads. ... Anyone who can't make their squad swim session is encouraged to attend the information session if possible.

21.01.2022 Club races tomorrow morning at 7.45am, if you are in a squad that doesn't train on Saturday mornings make sure you are there at 7.30 to get your race entries in. Tomorrow's strokes are freestyle & breaststroke.

16.01.2022 Great day out at SOPAC for our first carnival for long course season. The day was filled with loads of pb's, a few medals, a State qualifying and many many laughs. Looking forward to the next meet in a couple of weeks. Well done Sporties!!

13.01.2022 Just a quick note for those attending the MSW Open Water this weekend. The event will be held in the back warm up lake at Penrith therefore there will be no shade available. Please make sure you bring your gazebo if you have one, a hat and plenty of sunscreen.

10.01.2022 Today we celebrate our second birthday at Birrong pool and with Bankstown Sports Swim Club. It has been another amazing year seeing the kids grow in confidence. As a club we have seen some amazing results from all our swimmers. These results have ranged from MSW to Metro, State and National qualifying times. At SC Nationals the club won its first National Open medal in a very long time. For me it has been another great year filled with laughter and pride.... I want to give a huge thank you to Ally for all her hard work both with her coaching and admin behind the scenes. I want to thank Alex and all the coaches from Harlee Elite for all their help and guidance. I also want to thank all the parents for their help and support over the year. 09.01.2022 Day 2 Tuggeranong Vikings Meet What an even better day with scorching hot times, pbs and Qualifying times! Highlights of the weekend include: Pbs in the 100Bk, 50Fr, 100Br, 50Bk, and 100Fr (5th) for Alexsis. A very good last swim of the meet (100fr) to wrap it all up for it. ... Pbs in 100Fly (4.6sec drop), 100Bk, 200IM (4sec drop), 200Bk (HUGE 17Sec drop. WOW), 100Br (4Sec Drop) for Amelia. Great swims and keep up your hard training. It is paying off in great amounts. Akaysha swam 6/6 pbs and 3medals with a massive 4.4sec drop in the 100Bk to gain a metro QT. Keep up your tremendous training efforts Akaysha! Solid swims in all races for Victoria with small PBs in the 50 and 100Fr! Keep it up Vicky! A and a for Tim in the 100Fly and 200IM. A state time for the 100Fly and pbs in the 100Bk, 200Fr (4th) and 50Fly. Well done Tim! Big effort from you buddy. Very solid swims from Athan gaining new Pbs in the 100Fly,100Fr,50Fly,50Bk, and a metro time in the 100Br! Well done Athan. Keep training hard And reap the rewards! Some very big swims by Harrison including an 11sec drop in his 800Fr, 23sec drop in the 200IM, and 6sec drop in the 100Br to qualify for Metros and come very close to the state Qt and also a . Pbs also in the 50Br, and 50Fr. Extremely proud of your efforts mate. Annika also pulled of some very big swims, dropping 3sec in the 100Bk, 10sec in the 200Bk, and 2sec in the 100Fr. With a small pb in the 50Fr. 4/4 and heres to many more Missy! Mr Consistent Hayden, with 8/9 pbs. Including a big 8.8sec drop in the 200Fr and a , 6sec drop in the 200IM, 1.85sec drop in the 100Bk and small pb to gain his 2nd state time of the meet in the 50Bk. Well done little man. You should be extremely happy with your results. All in all, the coaches could not be more happy/proud with your efforts. Keep up the hard work and the results and rewards will keep coming your way. Ps. Those who went to the Meet have the Monday AM off and I will see you guys Tuesday AM.

07.01.2022 For the first time in ten months our juniors and seniors have been able to come together and compete as a team. The team spirit exhibited was something to be proud of, as were the performances and PB’s of each and every swimmer. Congratulations to everyone who was part of such a memorable day!

You will then be able to purchase using a credit card.... If you would prefer to pay cash please fill out a paper order form and return with money to Michelle Parsons, Nicole Watts or Renae Behringer. Our online shop will close on 27th June. 03.01.2022 Day 1 in Canberra saw some exceptional results! Some special mentions A good day at the pool with some big Pbs! A 5sec drop from Amelia in the 100Fly and a 12sec drop from Harrison in the 800Fr. A second medal for Akaysha and a big 4sec pb to gain her first ever metro qualifying time in the 100Bk! 02.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I am writing this final post. However I am also concluding with great pride and joy: that I can congratulate the whole Bankstown Sports team that raced this weekend. An amazing weekend to end an amazing year at this club. I was so proud at all the swimmers pbs (and there were bountiful amounts), some metro and state qualifying times. Special mention to Athan and Amelia for swimming a spectacular meet earning themselves the male and female swimme...r of the meet. Athan capped off his weekend with 5/6 pbs in individual races and a state QT. Amelia finished the weekend with a perfect score of individual Pbs (8/8), first time qualifier for metros (in 2 events) and a state QT with her team (Jasmine, Annika and Yasmine-Bella). I can say that over the past year, it has been my absolute pleasure and joy to coach these amazingly talented and hard working kids.
