25.01.2022 What a night!!! Big thanks to all who came to BCC Christmas last night.

24.01.2022 Local Legend No 3 I played 208 Games and made 2085 runs @ 15.22 my highest Score being 54 NO. I was better known for my bowling taking 538 wickets @ 10.64... My best bowling figures are 8/16 and in the same game i also took 7/11 giving me match figures of 15/27 which is the best individual match figures for the Leigh Cricket Association. I have taken 5 wicket hauls on 35 occasions and 10 wickets in a match on 3 occasions. I have played in 7 premierships at the club WHO AM I

21.01.2022 LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT With the Thirds and Fourths kicking of their seasons this weekend it is time we announce our Captains and Vice Captains. The Thirds will be led by David Reissinger with Leigh Vassilliou as his Vice Captain. Both are hugely experienced in cricket having played high level cricket across Geelong and in more recent years representing our clubs first XI. Now they take on a new challenge of helping develop the next wave of BCC cricketers with some exciting ...youth to make its way through the team across the course of the season under their guidance. In the Fourths Blake Brogden will be our Captain, Blake has a long history with the club starting in the juniors before making his way back to the club as a senior cricket, a cricket lover, Blake will attack the role with endless enthusiasm. Supporting him will be his father Greg Brogden, Greg is a legend of the club and a former president. A much loved figure at the club that we have no doubt will be the perfect support for his son in the fourths. Congratulations to all!

21.01.2022 There has been some good news today restrictions for regional Vic are easing and there has been a start date indicated for the junior season 20/21 with that date being Saturday 17th October Now that we know this date we have been asked by the GJCA to submit our teams for all age groups U11 - U17, thank you to everyone who has told us that they are playing for this season. If you are still thinking about playing this season could you let us know ASAP. New players always welcome.

20.01.2022 This is what dreams are made of!!! Today 8 of our Woolworths Blast children along with coach Jamieson Jervies were lucky enough to hit the hallowed turf on the MCG during day 2 of the Boxing Day Test to show off their cricket skills in front of 60,000 people!!!!

20.01.2022 The Bannockburn Bulls Cricket Club wish to thank Dan Davies for his tireless efforts over the previous 3 years as our coach, the first 2 as Captain also, as he finishes up with the club this season. While we may have fallen just short in our quest for a 1st XI flag, our club is a better place thanks to Dan and his contribution, with our 2nd and 4th XI both trying to send him off with a premiership in one grade. He implemented our new Junior Academy which has seen a number of ...members eventually playing in our 1st XI. He brought professionalism into a club that had since been lacking. Dan was a quality all rounder who performed consistently each season, lead the team extremely well and attended every club function. He leaves the club with 45 matches in all formats. 1 x 100 8 x 50 1143 runs at an average of 34.64 HS: 104 55 wickets at an average of 10.22 and an astounding economy rate of 1.85 Pretty impressive stats in only 3 years of cricket at the ripe old age of 41. Not only a quality cricketer, but a quality person, who has also personally helped players with non cricketing issues in his own time. We wish Dan all the best for the next steps in his cricketing career, and we thank Dan for all his effort to make Bannockburn Cricket Club a better place. Thanks Dan, and no doubt well see you back in the future at a past players function. You are always welcome at our club, you are a Bull for Life.

16.01.2022 We hope everyone is safe, well and coping with the current restrictions in place. It was very disappointing that the junior footy season was just starting to go ahead and then came to an abrupt end for the season as also other sports etc. would have stopped, I am sure that your son/daughter must be feeling a bit lost without any sporting activities. It has now come to the time to think about and hope that the summer sports will go ahead, here at the Bannockburn Cricket Club w...e are certainly hoping to get in a full season, however at this point in time Cricket Victoria and Geelong Junior Cricket Association are unsure how this will look. You may have seen the post on our Bannockburn Cricket Club Juniors Facebook page about the upcoming season, hoping to start the second weekend in October. Normally we would try and hold a come and try, registration day sometime in early September but with the current restrictions in place until at least September 13 we will not be able to do this. We are looking at fielding sides from U11 through to U17 this season, and as usual we will also be running the Woolworths Blast, if you know of anyone who may be interested in playing they can contact or inbox Mark Schurmann on 0448 550 924 or Lisa Broster on 0400554049 for further details. If you would like to assist for the coming season we would love to know what area you would be able to assist in, this could coaching a side, help with set up of the ground (putting out the boundary cones, stumps etc.), warmup drills before start of play/innings, scoring. We look forward to a great season ahead, although it may be slightly different but will have to wait and see. Go Bulls!!

12.01.2022 Another blow for our Major Sponsor. If you can get in for a meal in the next few days, I am sure it would be appreciated. But moving forward they need our support again just like earlier in the year with getting as much takeaway that is within your means. The BCC family and the town were fantastic with this and those that can, lets do it again. I know Ricky, Steve and all the staff were amazed by the support last time and Im sure they will be again.... 11.01.2022 LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT Leading in to round one this weekend, it is with great excitement that we announce our Firsts and Seconds Captains & Vice Captains for the upcoming season. Our First XI will be captained by James Hickleton and assisted by Tanner Hay. Tanner has been a key part of the First XI in past seasons and will only continue to develop further with this much earned opportunity. This is great reward for a player who is always committed to the team and has a great... passion for the club. With James unavailable for the opening rounds, Nathan Broster will fill the role of captain of the First XI. This is a great opportunity to reward a much-loved clubman. The Second XI will be captained by Life Member Ricky Howling, a very respected member around the club, whose expert guidance and leadership will be a great asset to the side. Ricky will be assisted by David Nye. Dave returns to cricket full time, intent on helping the next wave of BCC cricketers coming through. Dave, also a quality cricketer with First XI experience, will add to the strength of the team.

10.01.2022 This week ALL the Bannockburn Cricket Club Junior coaches are playing in our senior teams. This a great initiative by the club to have experienced and senior players coaching all our junior teams. As a club we aim to involve senior cricketers with our juniors and this again is reflected in a great turn out of senior cricketers watching our junior teams- after all, they are the future of our club. 09.01.2022 The impact the current bushfires are having across the country is truly devastating, our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by these fires and to ...those brave individuals who are currently fighting them. As such, The Banno and The Barwon have joined forces for the remainder of summer to raise some money and will contribute the following: - We will be donating $1 for every Garlic Bread sold for the remainder of Summer to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, across both venues. - 100% of Friday Night raffle sales at both venues until the end of Feb. - A very special Win Your Height in Slabs of beer raffle on Friday 17th Jan at Bannockburn and Friday 24th Jan at Winchelsea where 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Your support is appreciated and what makes our club go from strength to strength. Congratulations to Charlie Cain on winning the Laurie Davies award for best junior club person. Well done to all the players and we hope to see you all back again next season.

Please note Gaming and Front Bar remain closed however patrons are permitted to come in for a drink in our beer garden anytime between 11.30am - 9pm subject to capacity. Per restrictions, patrons are allowed on site for a maximum of 2 hours. Our delivery service will cease from Wednesday Night, however will return in the future once we are settled in with these new trading conditions. Pick up will still be available for takeaway. Current menu will remain the same for dine in and takeaway.

05.01.2022 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! As hinted earlier, we are pleased to announce the following signings to our coaching team for season 2020/21 - Terry Hickleton, Colin CJ Orr, Paul Stewart and Nathan Broster. Terry Hickleton - Chairman of Selectors... Life member and former president, it will be fantastic to have Terry more involved with the club once more. Colin Orr - Senior Assistant Coach Bannockburns last premiership winning coach and captain. Colin has a wealth of experience and we are grateful to see a club legend return after some years away. Paul Stewart - Assistant Coach (Bowling) Coming back to Bannockburn after some succesful years at Lethbridge. Paul made 230 runs and took 15 wickets last season in the Rosellas 1st XI. Nathan Broster - Assistant Coach (Batting) A fan favourite, Brossy has amassed over 2,100 runs at an average of almost 30 opening the batting for our First XI the past 5 seasons, including 3 centuries.
