14.01.2022 The start of the week was a bit crazy with announcements of stage 3 restrictions returning and returning to remote learning so we held off filling your feed with this post - our last results for season 2020 . . But here they are - a huge well done to all our teams - you all did a fabulous job and made the BFNC so proud in the three rounds that we played .... . To our amazing club coordinators, coaches, team managers, COVID officers, runners, umpires, team helpers and volunteers WOW - what a job you have done It was FULL ON at times and you all played your part to pull the season together and get our kids out there and ready to play! The phone calls, shuffling things around, being flexible, wiping stuff, pumping sanitizer, reading emails loaded with information and supporting our kids did not go unnoticed and we are so THANKFUL to you all . . To all our junior players - you guys rock - we know we made you sanitize your hand the moment you touched anything, and told you a thousand times to keep your mouth guard in your mouth and there were a lot more rules and stuff to take onboard but you all showed up and did what you were asked - we are sorry we didnt get more than 3 games for you but we are so proud of every single one of you that pulled on a BFNC uniform and took your position and played your heart out for your club. We know season 2021 seems like a while away and youre all back home remote learning but we are not going anywhere- well all still be here ready to stick a bib on the back of your dress and tie up those U9 boot laces when the time comes to start pre season . . To ALL our BFNC members - we know its tough right now - so lean into us if you need support. Sam Warelow who plays in our U15 Bannockburn 1 was acknowledged as the best player of that game - Sam along with his team mates, and all our junior teams, wore black arm bands to honor his friend (and many of our members friend) Lauren Newell who passed away aged 17 after a battle with Brain Cancer - In the presentation video, Sam dedicates the win to Lauren - our thoughts are with all Laurens family and friends . .... 09.01.2022 Well season 2020 has not gone as planned - and today we are sad to share the the rest of the junior season has been cancelled . . We are so thankful to all our volunteers, sponsors, GDFNL, AFL Barwon, AFL Barwon Umpires and our fellow clubs clubs for getting in 3 amazing rounds - it was a privilege being able to give our kids a run and support them in these times .... . We know that the reintroduction of restrictions will be tough so please lean in if you need support. Our committee and community are still here for you, even though our season is officially closed . . We know there will be questions, we cant answer them all right now, so please allow us time to answer you and give you information moving forward. . We look forward to a return to play in 2021 . . 06.01.2022 A year on......what a day #2019premiership

06.01.2022 The Bannockburn FNC is excited to announce that the talent and skills of Matt James will be running out in the BFNC black and gold when we return in season 2021 . .... Originally a BPH Panther Junior, Matt James is known for his athleticism and thirst for winning the ball. Matty is highly regarded in the GDFL and is a GDFL Neville Whitley medal winner (2018) off a stellar season kicking 11 goals. 2019 saw Matt finished Runner up for the GDFL Neville Whitley medal and Runner B&F for BPH, unfortunately missing a couple weeks. Matt has always strived to push himself and has play GFL for GW St Peters, Bell Park and St Marys and made his Senior debut for Nth Shore in 2015. He is known for his line breaking speed, ball usage and is a key ball winner, playing majority of his career through the centre. Matty will strengthen our midfield and we are excited to see them all line up together . . We welcome Matt and family to our Tigers Family . #bfnc2021 See more
