25.01.2022 'From My Window' Artist Sneak Peak #4 with Heidi Tyrrell Heidi's creative portfolio is an outpouring of reaction, movement, observation, and flamboyant energy. The challenge to mediate relationships between colour, shape, line and tone with as little intervention as possible is a continual source of fascination, inspiration, and joy. 12.01.2022 'From My Window' Artist Sneak Peek with Helen Platania. Helen is an exhibiting and commissioned mixed media artist who works from her home studio in Greensborough. She is a passionate advocate for sharing her knowledge with the local community and runs creative classes for both women and children. My hope is that my installations will create conversation, a sense of community, and a smile or two artist, Helen Platania.

10.01.2022 'From My Window' Sneak Peek with Lauren and Nicole Bester. Sisters Lauren and Nicole are local young artists who enjoy experimenting with paint, pencil and other materials such as collage and engages in other art and craft projects. Inspired by their grandparents who were both artists, they enjoy creating colourful artworks that stand out and bring joy and happiness. We create bright and colourful artworks to make people smile and we hope to create a positive experience for the community and that our artworks will make people happy artist, Nicole Bester

07.01.2022 'From My Window' Artist Sneak Peek #3 with Teresa Bennett After a lifetime of making, Teresa pursued studies in Studio Textiles, majoring in Weaving and Experimental Weaving. Teresa utilizes items found, rescued, recycled and sustainable, whilst using traditional textile techniques, aiming for a sustainable practice. Teresa will be repurposing materials from the business itself. I would like to surprise them as I make the materials into something completely different artist, Teresa Bennett

05.01.2022 We're excited to share some images of local artist Felicity Gordon's work in progress on the Riverside Garden Gazebo Seed Mural! Funded by an Arts and Culture Quick Response Grant, Felicity has been working closely with St John's Riverside Community Garden to create this stunning mural which tells the story of the life of seeds! Created for the enjoyment of garden members, visitors, and all those passing by on the Main Yarra Trail. This mural will be a source of local commun...ity pride, connection and beauty after a long and difficult year. 05.01.2022 Local artist Anne Bennett’s latest work Revitalise Warringal: the remaking of Banyule’s wetlands is now in progress at Warringal Shopping Centre! Funded by a Banyule Council Arts and Culture Quick Response Grant, Anne is making a mural sized translucent painting of the Banyule Swamp in celebration of Warringal Conservation Society’s 50th anniversary and their instrumental role in restoring Banyule’s wetlands. Ecologically rich as it is beautiful, Banyule Swamp’s extensive ...reed beds, open water and ephemeral depressions, surrounded by riparian and grassy woodlands support over 150 different species of native Australian and migratory birds, and other wildlife. Come visit Anne at Warringal Shopping Centre over the coming weeks as she constructs intricate and complex collages from photographs of the Warringal Parklands and Banyule Flats Reserve, in preparation to painting an expansive panorama of the Banyule Swamp. 02.01.2022 Felicity Gordon is a contemporary visual artist with a passion for community engagement, the arts and permaculture. In 2016 Felicity attended a Drawing program at The New York Studio School in America and this year has started teaching drawing and design at VCA. Felicity’s artwork is extra special as it has been specifically designed to span across two adjacent shopfronts in Watsonia.
