We thought it would be important to reach out and let everyone know that even in the current situation we find ourselves in with regards to COVID-19, US universities and colleges are still actively recruiting international athletes and we remain in daily communication with colleges at all levels within the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA. ... In fact, we have helped place a number of Australian athletes over the last 2 weeks in spite of what is taking place with COVID-19. 20.01.2022 Congratulations to Basketball Victoria athlete Lara Edmanson on her recent commitment to Santa Clara University. Lara is a prototypical college athlete, as the Vic Metro representative possesses length and athleticism and can play multiple positions due to her broad skill set. At 6’1 and possessing a great looking shot, she can play as a stretch post, or use her speed and ball handling ability to play as a wing. Couple that with her academic ability and sincere interest in pursuing a quality higher education, Basketball Australia Pathways were able to introduce Lara to a range of schools that were very keen to recruit her.
