17.01.2022 Recently, BAP had the privilege of working with McKinsey & Company on a consulting workshop that was invaluable in developing our understanding of the world of consulting. We began the event going over a case study and breaking down it's core issues. The use of a problems tree was a fantastic way to determine the root causes of the problem, and it was interesting to learn how this method can be used in the professional world of consulting. After defining the problem, our grou...p began brainstorming and proposing some creative solutions, with each potential solution being met with comprehensive analysis. This small case study was a fantastic way to test our consulting abilities. A special thank you to our McKinsey & Company presenters, Tiago Devesa and Emma Calvisi! Their facilitation of the case study analysis was incredibly rewarding. They also offered advice on applications and the interview process, which was especially relevant for those in their final or penultimate year. Overall, the insight we received was extremely helpful for those of us considering consulting as a professional pathway!
