18.01.2022 To the collectors of timber Barambah's, thanks for your massive support!! You helped me get through some tough months in 2020. It has been a real challenge at times. I have a love/hate relationship with making timber lures...... Sometimes it is so good to enjoy the creative side of it, but also it can be extremely stressful, particularly painting and finishing off the final stages. I put my heart and soul into my work, I like to keep pushing my limits in skill and collour combos, and wont sign off on anything I am not proud of. I am so grateful to have so many of you guys and girls who appreciate the time and effort I put into them. Thanks so much! Here is to an awesome 2021!! Cheers, Matt

17.01.2022 Lures for the tackle box and lures for the cabinet. I started in timber lure making off the back of the 2014 Lure Expo. Honing my craft, learning from my idols and mentors from Kuttafurra, Fugly, Power, Goodoo Guru, Ollies Handcrafted and Viper. I dedicated hundreds of hours to development of shapes, actions, buoyancy, componentry, colours and then tested them in the pool and then in the field. It became an obsession, and I although I had been working on jigheads for 12 year...s plus, I knew I had found my true calling in hardbody lure design. In no time at all, I couldn't keep up with demand, it was time to step up into overseas production. Relentless work for 18 months, spending over three months in the factories with engineers, manufacturers and painters to ensure every aspect of my production lures would be first class, and it has all paid off. With so many awesome captures , particularly of Murray cod and Barra. Through a Covid hampered 2020, I have resorted back to my timber skills at times to stay afloat. And now demand for my timbers has increased significantly and I appreciate the value collectors put on them. It is nice to have both options available to both the hard core fishos, and to the collectors. I am super excited for this summer and impending cod opening. With Victorian's finally allowed out and about, I am sure they will make the most of their newfound freedoms. Dam and river levels are generally better than this time last year, and the Southern Barra dams are firing! Bring on Summer, barra, cod jacks and everything else that fires up at this time of year. Barambahs are now available in over eighty independent retailers throughout Australia. The specialist stores that sell top quality products that you often won't find in the big chain stores and back up their products with great info and advice from real fisherman. I am working even closer with my dealers as I get to know them. There are a heap that have taken up the summer trade promo. If you purchase a production lure in their store, you have the opportunity to win a timber Barambah lure. You cannot order a Timber Barambah, I simply don't take orders anymore. The stress and anxiety of having to make to order is too much for me as a one man operation. When I do sell, I like to try to give everyone a fair chance. So these lures in stores is a rare chance with reasonable odds. I will publish a full list of stores and what lures they have by the end of November. So please try to support your local tackle shop and Barambah Lures, you will get great fish catching lures and the chance to win a special timber lure. Thanks for reading, if you made it this far lol. Appreciate all the support! Matt Fraser Barambah Lures. See more

09.01.2022 What can I say, I like purple! Baby Perch and Hectic yabbie going toe to toe at Somerset. Reaching 25 feet on the troll, I actually shortened them up to 23 feet for best results. Biggest nudging 50cm. I had forgotten how much fun trolling Somerset is! This was all in 1.5 hours fishing, the rest of the trip was towing kids on kneeboards and skis.
