25.01.2022 Thanks to Heidi and the team at Murgon Outdoor Equipment for helping us with the purchase a brand new STIHL FS91R whipper snipper for the club. It will be a wonderful asset and will help our volunteers keeping the club clean and tidy.

25.01.2022 2020 Season update: at the recent Football South Burnett meeting the tough decision was made to cancel the 2020 U6-U11 season. All clubs will be in touch with... their players and families over the coming weeks to advise of alternate club based programs or refunds. We are, however, going to try to push ahead with the interclub competitive junior age groups (u12/13 and Cadets) with Dalby and Chinchilla. With the season commencing on 1st August and running into Oct. Again; all clubs will be in touch with players to confirm numbers and plans to return to training etc. Senior Mens and Ladies local comp will also be going ahead commencing in July. If you have any queries please direct these to your respective club. See more

24.01.2022 Big thanks to those senior players/spouses/friends who came and helped out today to get the fields back ready to start training/playing shortly. The bottom field is cracking and just makes you want to pull the boots on and kick a ball. And the Rugby League field is ready to go for senior training to commence on Wednesday night at 6pm. Thanks again everyone. Bring on season 2020 part 2.

23.01.2022 A follow up meeting was held last night to ascertain the viability of a season; with all clubs in attendance. Sadly the decision was made to not go ahead with... a season for the 12/13, Cadet and Senior Ladies competitions. The 2 main reasons were low players numbers and also trying to work with the Covid 19 restrictions. The senior men are going to try to formulate a plan to play a small sided competition in Kingaroy. Thank you to all clubs and their volunteers who have been scratching to try and give our players a competition. Any players/parents who are interested there are competitions been played outside our area who may be looking for players. Clubs will be in contact with their players affected shortly. **any enquiries about refunds are to be directed to your respective clubs*** See more

Dont forget to bring your hats and water bottles to training. If your kids are not sure about soccer bring them along and come and try it out Wednesdays from 4:15pm. They dont need soccer boots to have a go, joggers are fine. Come and have some fun. We have had some beautiful rain of late and the grass has been growing well (lovely to see green fields!). Thank you to the volunteers who have been doing a lot of mowing over the past weeks. If you can spare some time to help out that would be wonderful. We are still seeking coaches for this season. If you need some more information we are happy to answer any questions. Free training and support is available in the coming weeks so if it is something you are considering, let the club know. Some roles this season will be shared to work around everyones work commitments. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are so excited to get underway and we all know the kids are keen as mustard to get back into their soccer. See you all soon

10.01.2022 Everyone should have received the following information in an email on Friday. At a recent Football South Burnett Competition Administrator meeting attended by delegates from all clubs the tough decision was made to not go ahead with the season for the u6 through to u11. This was not an easy decision by any means and a lot of factors were taken into account; the main factor being the sheer number of players we have attending our competition mornings, and with all the restr...ictions in place it is simply too hard to manage these numbers. The clubs agreed to try and push on with the competitive age groups (12/13 and cadets and senior mens and ladies), again the number of players involved will be a test but all clubs felt these ages were more manageable. So what does this mean for you: U6 to U11 do not despair, all is not lost, we will continue to look at options within our club to provide something for you all once the numbers per venue increase to 100. You will however be given a refund of any fees paid; if you used a voucher to pay your fees we cannot refund this money (up to $150). If you paid a balance for fees (volunteer levy) this portion can be refunded to you. U12/13 and Cadet age groups: our committee has worked hard to reduce the fees to coincide with the shortened season. If you have paid already we will refund you any difference owing. What we need you to do now is get on https://www.playfootball.com.au/ and register your interest to play, if you have not already registered, BUT do not pay any fees just yet. We just need players to register by Sunday 21st June to allow reporting to Football South Burnett of numbers/teams. Training for these teams will recommence after the school holidays, If you are interested in volunteering to coach/manage please let us know by return email. Seniors: again our committee has reduced your fees, if you have paid fees already we will also refund any difference owing. Again we need you to get on https://www.playfootball.com.au/ and register your interest in playing, if you havent already done so, DO NOT pay any fees we just need numbers confirmed. Senior training has commenced at 6pm Wednesday nights at Wondai RL fields. There will be a follow up Football South Burnett Competition Administrator meeting held on Monday 22nd June to finalise details for the recommencement of the u12/13, Cadet and Senior competitions.

10.01.2022 Thank you David for all your many visits to our club to work with our players and coaches over the years. We wish you all the best for the future.

As you are aware, COVID-19 continues to be an evolving situation in Australia and across the world. Following ongoing consultation and collaboration with Football Federation Australia (FFA) in achieving a united position, the Football Queensland (FQ) Board of Directors earlier resolved to immediately postpone all Football Queensland administered, and all Football Queensland zone administered competitions effective immediately. Working collaboratively with FQ zones, who were informed of this decision at lunchtime today, followed an ongoing assessment of the situation regarding COVID-19 based on consultation with other Member Federations and the FFA. 02.01.2022 Please see below the latest info from Football Queensland. Queensland football competitions could resume from July 2020. Following the statement by Football Fed...eration Australia (FFA) today that, as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the current suspension of all sanctioned grassroots football competitions and associated training will continue and be reassessed by 31 May 2020, Football Queensland (FQ) has determined to maintain the suspension in Queensland through to 30 June 2020. FQ President Ben Richardson said, The health and wellbeing of our football family and all Queenslanders continue to be our first priority. There are a range of local factors to be considered by each Member Federation in determining any commencement of competitions across the state and will be subject to the latest government and medical advice available in each region. FQ Chief Executive Robert Cavallucci said, With this announcement today we can work towards the establishment of a sanctioned playing window alongside the format and delivery of competitions to commence in Queensland from July 2020, reassuring clubs of our determination to deliver a competition this season. No football activities will take place in Queensland prior to 30 June however todays announcement will now enable clubs to progress towards a return to football when the sanctioned competition window opens, and the proposed format of competitions are announced from 1 July to 30 November. As part of our strategic planning for recovery, FQ has been undertaking a detailed and comprehensive review of statewide football competitions including league structures for 2021 and beyond. We are continuing to look closely at the structure and delivery of football operations across the state and reviewing our governance model. We will use this temporary suspension period as an opportunity to consult with our football community so the game can come back in a stronger position. FQ will continue to provide regular updates as new information becomes available.
