25.01.2022 'COVID has killed more Americans than those who perished in every armed conflict combined since the Second World War. Globally, it has killed nearly a million people.' American democracy is hanging by a thread.
25.01.2022 It is not too late to make it better. And it is not too late to make it worse.
24.01.2022 Thrilled to have the support of my friend and comrade Janet Giles. A lot of union, activist, feminist and mothering years together. And ahead Voting is open now for SA Greens Senate Preselection
22.01.2022 It’s not jobs vs environment Joel. The Hunter Valley deserves so much better. And can do it.
19.01.2022 Well said Abbey Kendall. It’s the labour market - not the scapegoat. https://www.theguardian.com//south-australia-makes-young-p

19.01.2022 Remember her name: Tanya Louise Day https://www.theguardian.com//without-accountability-there-
18.01.2022 Tonight community members spoke up for the declaration of a climate emergency by Unley Council. A motion in support will be debated at the October Council meeting. Let’s hope Councillors listen to the community and join the movement admitting the emergency we face. We’ll all be there!
18.01.2022 This is such a great policy. Social housing that will change thousands of lives. Job creation - with targets for apprentices and women. What a contrast with Morrison’s subsidies of kitchen reno’s for the well off. https://www.theguardian.com//victoria-goes-from-social-hou
17.01.2022 Thanks Richard Denniss for your support. It's been an honour to work with Richard for many years, and to serve for 16 years on the board of The Australia Institute. We need more big ideas and respect for research in our Parliament to tackle the climate & inequality crises. Voting is open now for SA Greens members in the Senate Preselection - check your email (and junk folder!)
17.01.2022 Worth a read. Immediately do-able.
16.01.2022 Thanks for your support Gaby! Real change comes from the grassroots. I look forward to growing our links with the community and local campaigns if I'm elected as our next Senator.
14.01.2022 Voting is now open. If you're a Greens SA member, it would be an honour to represent you and put our values of People, Planet and Justice in the Australian Senate. 14.01.2022 Our fabulous Ripples Painting group doing politics out front and then art inside at the gallery this morning. Artists for climate action. Love you mob Warming up for Friday
10.01.2022 I'm thinking about the poor worker at the centre of this lockdown. I've been around long enough to know there is probably a back story. And that we may never know it. But even if there isn't, I can't imagine how tough it must be and the pressure they are under. Sympathy out to them, whoever they are. Hope the hounds of the press show some restraint. And the rest of us can be grateful for being well, for living in a well-governed state and for holding our officials in such high trust. Stay healthy. Wash your hands. Walk your dog.
10.01.2022 We can make the switch with the right investment strategy around renewables.
10.01.2022 Fails both the fairness and efficiency test.
09.01.2022 It’s on your head Stirling Griff. Let him know what you think: [email protected]. I have.
09.01.2022 Make sure you read this. It’s terrific. The shortest most entertaining route to wrapping yr head around modern monetary theory and where it fits in modern politics and the history of economic thought. In 4 pages. Brilliant.
07.01.2022 For anyone interested in local truth-telling visit Glenelg town hall museum for a fantastic exhibition about the truth of white settlement at Holdfast Bay. So well done.
07.01.2022 The budget must spend on care and social infrastructure. It’s the way out of recession. It will create jobs. It will build a better society. Thanks Liz Hill. Good economists make a difference
07.01.2022 I've talked to every Greens member I could reach - and that's a lot! So many interesting conversations about what matters, what they hope for from a new senator if we can get there.
06.01.2022 Fund our future not gas
06.01.2022 Can we please not do this really dumb thing?
