24.01.2022 A customer brought in this 2007 Suzuki GS500F which has been converted into a naked bike for some rear suspension work. We removed the original 50,000 km old shock and replaced it with a low km triple adjustable shock from a Yamaha R6. While we had the rear of the bike apart we also replaced the chain, both sprockets and cleaned the inside of the sprocket cover. http://barberprecision.com.au//gs500f-suspension-upgrade-/

21.01.2022 This 1996 Sportster XL1200S will be used to develop a range of new parts available from Barber Precision. The bike has some existing damage to the indicators, speedometer and front brakes. All items will be repaired or replaced to ensure the bike is roadworthy before any custom parts are tested. http://barberprecision.com.au//1996-harley-sportster-1200/

20.01.2022 The chrome has to go! This Sportster came to me with every optional chrome cover under the sun and was way too blingy for my taste. So, after taking off the covers the engine was masked up and sanded with 400 grit. Followed by a light mist coat of high temperature paint/primer combination. Then a heavier full coverage coat. Paint was then wiped off the edges of the fins with paint thinners when it was still wet. And finally unmasked to reveal what Harley should have done all along. Next up is having the tank and fenders painted in 2k gloss black. http://barberprecision.com.au//harley-sportster-engine-pa/

18.01.2022 The CAD model of the CNC Router project is essentially complete, so production can continue with the gantry and Z axis. Im hoping to have this project finished at the end of February, which will allow a huge expansion of the range of products which can be produced in-house. http://barberprecision.com.au//cnc-router-cad-model-final/

16.01.2022 The Barber Precision 96 Sportster XL1200S has been disassembled for a colour change. The rear fender has had a slight chop to tidy up the rear of the bike Then the fenders and tank were sandblasted and coated in Epoxy 2-pac primer. Next up is to repair a small dent on the tank, sand smooth and paint the new colour http://barberprecision.com.au/2018/10/05/sportster-respray/

14.01.2022 Just finished this turbo install on a 1993 1.8L MX5, everything fabricated in-house at Barber Precision

12.01.2022 The Datsun 260c has had a few panels coated in Satin Black 3M liquid wrap and it has come up looking great! This is a bit of an experiment to see how the Plastidip-esque paint stands up to everyday use on a car and what sort of finish is achievable with a spray can, but so far so good. This thing just oozes old-school cool and its going to be great seeing it cruise the streets once again. [ 29 more words ] http://barberprecision.com.au//11/01/datsun-260c-liquid-w/

09.01.2022 Check out this custom driveshaft adapter manufactured at Barber Precision! It allows a standard 4 bolt driveshaft to bolt directly to a 6 bolt 300zx twin turbo CV rear end.

08.01.2022 A new brake master cylinder has been fitted and bled, now the brakes work as they should. The door jams have been painted with epoxy anti-rust paint. The colour is a good match for the black chosen for the rest of the car. The next step is to finish the rust repairs on the rest of the vehicle, install a new radiator, reinstall the interior and give the carburetor a tune up. http://barberprecision.com.au//01/22/1976-datsun-260c-upd/

08.01.2022 The next step in the CNC Router build is to fabricate the fixed gantry. The gantry consists of a 200x100x6 piece of SHS supported by 100x100x3 SHS legs and fronted by a piece of 10mm plate to provide a flat mounting surface for the precision linear rails. The back stays are 75x75x3 SHS. The front face has been milled flat to provide a precise surface for the linear rails. [ 53 more words ] http://barberprecision.com.au//cnc-router-gantry-fabricat/

05.01.2022 The muffler on the Barber Precision 260c was completely rusted out so, to give the car a unique sound, we decided to fabricate a custom stainless muffler from scratch. All the parts were cut from tube or plasma cut from stainless plate. The outer housing is a piece of large bore pipe to cut down on the tinny resonance many mufflers suffer from. 01.01.2022 The Sportster tank and fenders were painted in a spray booth with 2k gloss black, and I've just been sent these pictures from the painter. Just look at that finish! I'll post an update when the parts are fitted to the bike on the 15th. http://barberprecision.com.au//harley-sportster-tank-and-/
