12.01.2022 BARCALDINE SEWER MANHOLE INSPECTION WORKS Residents of Barcaldine are advised that Council will be conducting inspections of all sewer manholes in Barcaldine commencing Monday 26 October 2020 and will continue for up to two weeks. Council and George Bourne & Associates (GBA) Representatives will require access to all manholes for approximately five minutes to conduct the inspection.... Residents who will be affected by these inspections are requested to ensure that access to the manhole is kept clear at all times. 11.01.2022 EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO HOST THE 2021 AUSTRALIA DAY EVENTS Council is seeking expressions of interest from community groups in our five communities to host the 2021 Australia Day events. Australia Day is Tuesday 26 January 2021. However, we welcome community groups to submit any events or activities that may be planned from Saturday 23 to Tuesday 26 January 2021.... It is a Staffy, approximately 4-5 years old, de-sexed and answers to the name Thor.... Thor is best suited to a home with no other dogs. 08.01.2022 INCREASE IN TRAFFIC OAK STREET, BARCALDINE Barcaldine Regional Council would like to advise the community and motorists of an increase in heavy vehicle movements on and around Oak Street for the next several weeks. This change to traffic conditions will be from late November to mid-December and will also include connecting roads such as the Capricorn Highway and Barcaldine-Aramac Road. ... This activity is needed to transport the materials required for rehabilitation works on the Barcaldine-Aramac Road (expected to start early 2021). 01.01.2022 REMINDER TO RATEPAYERS All property owners within Barcaldine Regional Council are advised that Rates Notices for the period 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2020 were issued on Monday 14 September 2020. Notices will be issued to the last advised address on Council records and it is the responsibility of the owner to advise Council of any change of address in writing. If any owner does not receive their Rates Notice they should contact the Alpha Administration Office on 07 4985 1166. To receive the discount, payment must be received in Council’s bank account by 4.30pm on Monday 26 October 2020.
