25.01.2022 Going for a walk with your gal pal is the best way to start a weekend!

24.01.2022 Its the weekend! I love my coffee! Especially on a lazy Sunday morning. But did you know, your morning coffee routine can affect your dental health. Coffee(tea and wine too!) contains tannins, which can leave an unwanted yellow hue on your teeth. It only takes one cup of coffee a day to cause stained teeth!... Coffee can also cause bad breath, or halitosis, as it sticks to the tongue. Eating before your coffee, and using a tongue scraper and toothbrush after your coffee can reduce halitosis. Dont despair if youre a coffee lover. Biannual professional dental cleans can get rid of most coffee stains. So make sure you schedule regular appointments. Professional teeth whitening can also help!

21.01.2022 D! Cheese! Cheese is a superfood for the teeth due to its ability to combat acid erosion of the teeth and lower the risk of tooth decay. Cheese also contains calcium and protein, nutrients that strengthen tooth enamel. If you chose B, youre not wrong.... Apples have long been considered natures toothbrush because their thick skins and fibrous flesh are just the right texture for the natural brushing of the teeth. Some nuts, eg. Almonds with their hard texture and shape can put stress on teeth when you bite down. Fractures of the teeth are not uncommon with this superfood. To avoid this, eat almond slivers instead of whole almonds. Theyre easier on the jaw and less likely to cause cracks. Coffee contains tannins, which can stain your teeth. But dont panic if youre a coffee lover. Generally, these stains can be removed during your 6 monthly cleaning. So make sure you schedule regular appointments!

19.01.2022 It’s been 10 months since I took over the practice. One of the most challenging journeys to date, not to mention Covid 19! I’ve had patients who say to me how they feel sorry for me, and what great timing on the selling dentist’s part! I can’t deny it’s been tough! Covid aside, being a new practice owner comes with it’s variety of challenges. And just when I think I’ve mastered one, another comes right at me. Sometimes like an avalanche, other times creeping in when I least ...expect it. There are days when I think, do I really have the strength to do this? Do I have what it takes? But I take a deep breath, and I count my blessings! I’m surrounded by such supportive people who lift me everyday. And I focus on why I did this to begin with. I wanted a space that feels like home. Where patients are greeted like family and treated like one! Where we take the time to listen, to build relationships and to personalise treatment for each individual. One person at a time, we achieve this everyday! So has it been a worthwhile journey? Absolutely! See more

08.01.2022 Manual vs Electric toothbrush I get asked all the time, which is better. My personal favourite is this with extra soft bristles! Soft and gentle on teeth and gums, all while mechanically removing plaque. Truth is, either toothbrush can be used just as effectively to keep your mouth clean and your teeth healthy. The key is to brush and floss every day, regardless of your preference. Were no different ourselves when my youngest daughter hit her lip whilst jumping on the trampoline. So the risks are very real when we are spending so much time at home with energetic kids. We all need to keep safe while we self isolate, as the last thing we want is to end up in the hospital for treatment #stayhome #staysafe
