24.01.2022 A 3 hours mix to ease into the Heat Waves. This Summer I have found residency at the Treehouse in Byron Bay. I m there Every Monday and Tuesday night. It is gre...at luck for a DJ to lock some gigs on a Monday and Tuesday! The Treehouse holds a special space for music and it is such a great pleasure to play some rare eclectic selections there. This style of DJing is becoming my favorite, keeping the story smooth and working on the different chapters of the evening! Traveling thru Downtempo World/Cumbia, Dubs, instrumental discos, Lo-Fi, African Funks, and more... ENJOY! See more

23.01.2022 Our bare feet touch this planet to the beat of natures marvelous gifts. We get to be bedazzled by nature all the time. Something that we care about so much at Bare Foot Beat are the Koala's. We have helped raise awareness and money for koalas with our Friends of the Koala who work tirelessly in the Northern RIvers, they rescue, rehabilitate and release koalas back in to their homes, they advocate for protecting and enhancing koala habitat, they educate the community about ...koalas and issues that affect them, they speak up on behalf of koalas and they assist in koala research. If you would like to reach out and volunteer your resources to these brave heroes here is their www.friendsofthekoala.org/about/ There is an urgent need to protect the koalas and their habitat right now . You can also add your voice to the ear of Environment Minister Matt Kean, and let him know your concerns https://agreennsw.good.do/saveourkoalas/action/ Thank you for taking the time to stand up for KOALAS xxxxxx

21.01.2022 Solstice Blessings Friends! With the shortest day, new moon and solar eclipse here we are retreating into our caves, lighting our fires, working on creative projects and dreaming of the day we can dance with you soon. What strange and curious times we find ourselves in. Self care is so important and every Sunday we will be sharing our #selfcaresunday tips with you... little things we can do to nourish and nurture our bodymindspirit. ... Today we invite you to practice journaling/ stream of consciousness writing. 1. Grab a pen and book 2. Find a quiet place 3. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths 4. Notice if a question or intention comes to you 5. Open eyes and start writing without stopping for at least 5 mins. Journaling is a lovely practice to weave into your daily routine. And remember, new moon is the perfect time to plant seeds of intention. Wishing you a smooth and scrumptious solstice. Xo BFB oX Art: Patrick Savile

21.01.2022 This Monday night on Bay FM 99.9 - Byron Bay Australia Bare Foot Beat is welcoming DJ/producer Iman Deeper for a quick chat about his work in Berlin and one hour set recorded exclusively for us. From 08 til 10pm Birthed in the busy streets of Tehran, Iman Deeper’s love for house music began in secret. House music in Iran was underground by necessity, he soon left his country to search for his place in the musical world and to develop the skills needed to re-create the sound...s of his dreams. His journey took him to Rome for a time, where he produced and performed under the name La Roca until he eventually moved to his current home base, Berlin, the land of love and house music. 19.01.2022 Tonight on Bay FM 99.9 - Byron Bay Australia we are inviting DJ/Producer MOONTIDE for a show where he will give us a few updates on his fresh releases and spoil us with a one hour DJ set. Moontide aka Louis Tobin is one of Australian’s best-kept secrets. Originally from the Northern rivers he moved down to Melbourne and got himself locked down. What Have you done Louis? If only you staid with us... His latest LP 'Our Youth' is an exquisite seven-track ride through downtemp...o, Middle Eastern-flavoured ambience, sampled musings and musical trinkets. In a world of digital release and multiple audio platforms we appreciate that he worked on whole 7 tracks Long Player concept album rather than focusing on a single track. CHECK HIM OUT The album is sincere in lockdown away from having to keep dance floors pumping, the artist allowed himself to immerse into a universe of personal emotions and translate them for our ears to feel and our brains to faint. On the 14th of September @Moontide was our guest on bayfm99.9 community radio in Byron Bay. This is a one hour mix he recorded for us after a chat. https://soundcloud.com/user-596457818/barefoot-radio

18.01.2022 hello beautiful Bare Foot Beat dancers, I have been invited by Monsieur Diop to write a little about how we can all make a difference on this ground, on this earth that we call home, and that we dance on. Our feet touch this earth so naturally and our dance nurtures our path through dance and celebration. ... So how can we as a community be more in tune with caring for the trees, and the ecosystems of our natural world? How can we leverage our love of life and community to support organisations that protect our world? Each week I am going to share with you an organisation or an initiative that might interest you and may benefit from your focus and your care. In time I would hope our united energies and love of community and dance would make some differences in this world. This week I am sharing with you this trailer and this page from the Bob Brown Foundation Bob Brown Foundation fb page - join- sign-donate-and share- ‘takayna / Tarkine remains today a rare gem of natural intactness in a world where the destruction of wild nature is rampant and accelerating. It should also be one of the easiest in the world to protect. Comprising just seven percent of Tasmania, the Tarkine contains the nation’s largest temperate rainforest, a galaxy of its rare and endangered wildlife and some of the richest Aboriginal heritage in the hemisphere. The latter has been inscribed on the list of National Heritage. The cleanest air in the world, as measured by the nearby UN monitoring station, blows across the Tarkine’s shores.’ https://www.bobbrown.org.au/takayna_tarkine

07.01.2022 Light creates color. Color creates feeling. Feeling creates the drive to create. But without light, we would just have ideas. Kino Tapes 019 - Monsieur Diop Fee...lings of Mechanic Reds and Natural Greens... Eclectic, Eccentric Hedonist, Adventurous Alchemist, Monsieur Diop is a chef in a flying saucer. As a kid in a classical music school, young Monsieur Diop was making mixtapes for homework. As a young man, Monsieur Diop spent four years sailing around the Atlantic Ocean, from Africa, to the Carribean, from South America to the US, relentlessly gathering records. He settled his crates in Berlin. The intensive techno scene blended with his exotic selections to create his unique mix style. His Debut as a DJ happened 10 years ago simultaneously in a little jazz cellar and the notorious Sisyphos, Techno club where he was taking his chance on small and sweaty alternative dance floors. There is a galaxy to cross between Calypso and Techno, a path through the wilderness of tribal sounds, jazz, soul and highlife funk; a trail through digital enlightenments and ecstatic movements, a voyage that you will have to get ready to take! Monsieur is now living in the Byron Shire and is a resident DJ at Locura, the audiophile club in town. He is a regular of the Global Village at Splendour in the Grass and the curator of the Byron Shire' most renown global beat party; Bare Foot Beat.
