25.01.2022 Oh if only it would rain ! My thoughts are with my friends and clients that are being impacted by the awful fires. The conditions are horrendous for our poor horses with heat, wind, smoke and flies. My job in these conditions is also pretty trying so I’m going to take a moment to remind you of how you can make the trimming appointment more comfortable for your horse, and also for me. Please ensure that you have your horse caught and ready for me when I arrive. Please hav...e a shady spot available. Please ensure that your horse has fly protection. Please ensure that your dogs are not in my work space, and that there are no other obstacles for me to potentially trip over. I too live on a property which could at any time be impacted by bush fires, so in the event that the conditions in my area may be conducive to fire activity, I will postpone appointments and make ensuring the safety of my own animals my priority. Thank you and stay safe everyone See more

25.01.2022 Who knew chickens could be so helpful ! These ladies were very happy to peck up all of the hoof shavings from my hoof stand.

23.01.2022 Well here we are already half way through the first month of 2020.....and what a crappy start to the year it’s been for so many due to raging bushfires across our state and just way too close to home for so many of us. With many of the fires being controlled and some desperately needed rain on the forecast, I am feeling more comfortable about recommencing work again next week (from Monday the 20th of January) . Tomorrow and Wednesday I will be busy bringing my horses back h...ome . It’s been a tough couple of weeks without them, but also a relief to know that they were safe and being cared for by some wonderful friends. I’ll be making contact with everyone that has either due or overdue horses to organize bookings, but please feel free to pop me a message if you haven’t heard from me by later this week . Keep praying for that rain .

22.01.2022 I'm very excited to announce that my (very supportive ) partner and I have recently purchased a 100 acre property at beautiful Bungonia (12 minutes off the Hume Hwy at the second Marulan exit). Aside from the very obvious lifestyle benefits attached to our decision to relocate, we also plan to be in a position to take in horses requiring hoof rehabilitation from this Spring. Work is already underway setting up areas that will be suitable to provide the appropriate recovery... environment for horses unfortunate enough to be suffering from laminitis and the nasty hoof pathologies which their owners are unable to manage at home. I look forward to keeping you all updated with the progress of the setting up of our rehabilitation facility as work continues. In the meantime, please continue to contact me to discuss any issues that you may be experiencing with your horses feet and to be mindful that diet and environment contribute enormously to whether your horse does, or does not, have healthy functional hooves. Here are some pics of our new place, and of course you'll see a few of my happy horses enjoying their new home amongst these photos.

14.01.2022 Today’s cute stowaway

07.01.2022 Well tomorrow is my last day of work for 2018 . On Sunday I’ll trim all of my own beautiful babies before packing up my rasp and nippers until I return to work on the 3rd of January. Thank you all for supporting my business during 2018 and I look forward to seeing you and your beautiful horses in 2019. Wishing you a safe and happy Christmas with your families and ponies.

07.01.2022 Wow ! Where has 2019 gone . I've spent the last couple of days locking in all of my bookings for the rest of 2019. If you have not made a booking but know you'll want your horse(s) trimmed before the 23rd of December, please send me a message this week so that we can lock in a date and time. I plan on finishing up for the year on the 23rd of December and returning to work from the 6th of January.

06.01.2022 Went to work this morning at beautiful Wingello. Trimmed one of my favourite boys, Merlin. Merlin has a big personality and I always look forward to catching up with him and his very loving mum Kel. Thanks for the pic Kel and keep working towards getting that cheeky boy out on the Wingello forest trails. His hooves are definately up for it !

05.01.2022 This is George. George is not only cute, but he is innovative. Today while I trimmed his Nona’s horse, he found a new use for the wall that I had nippered off.....not sure if it’s a tiara or a headband, but he sure is rocking it

05.01.2022 Hi guys, here is some great news about the course that I am working away at completing.

04.01.2022 I have to say that I love every day that I'm out working with my equine clients and their owners, but some days are more special than others and today was one of those days. Trimmed 8 lovely horses today and my last client of the day was sweet little Sally. Sally has been challenged by laminitis throughout her life and recently became the companion for another horse that had suffered a laminitic episode due to stress. Sally's lifestyle has been altered to match with her new 'boyfriends' so that his laminitis can be managed and she is benefiting from this too ! . So I don't know about being the worlds best trimmer, but tonight I am the worlds happiest trimmer for sure . Thank you to Sally's human family for being so kind though.

02.01.2022 What does a barefoot trimmer do on her day of rest ??? ......trim her own horses . This is my little man Hayman who is lucky enough to live with my mum and her thoroughbreds.
