25.01.2022 Is your mask making you break out in areas where your face mask sits? You're not alone! ‘Mascne' is one of the unexpected consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. Because mascne can involve various skin conditions, the exact cause of your symptoms may vary.... In most cases, mascne is the result ofclogged pores. You already have oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells on your skin. But when you wear a mask, these substances can build up more and block your pores. 17.01.2022 A very common question we are asked is ? The short answer to this is that our skin is an organ, and not a beauty accessory. It undergoes many complex biological functions to protect us and simultaneously repair. The rate at which our skin does this will differ from person to person depending on multiple factors. On average, a young, healthy skin will take approximately 28 days to be ‘born.’ Skincare products essentially need... to create change at our basal layer (where skin cells are born), so when new cells are born, they are better quality and therefore will display this once they reach the outer most layer of our skin, which we see. So, it can take a minimum of 28 days and up to 35 days for one cell cycle to turn over, revealing the improved skin cells that have been treated with a particular skincare product. Therefore an average of approximately 4 weeks need to pass before we can judge how well our skincare is working. It is important to note, some prescription strength products can take up to 6 months to have an effect, so it comes down to your personal skincare routine selected by your skin specialist.
