18.01.2022 New in store Ben Lawson was preparing for another Christmas away from home when the Black Summer bushfires began to burn their way across Australia's east coast. As he watched the devastation from across the ocean he sat down and wrote what he called a love letter to his home country. Now a book, beautifully illustrated by Bruce Whalley. Both Ben Lawson and Allen & Unwin are donating all proceeds to The Koala Hospital. Don't forget to watch Landline tomorrow on the ABC to catch up on the incredible job our friend Linda Sparrow and Bangalow Koalas are doing to create a koala wildlife corridor across the Northern Rivers of NSW.

15.01.2022 And we're back!! After six long weeks, the Tasman Highway at Paradise Gorge near Orford has reopened to all traffic from 7am today! The speed limit is reduce...d to 40km/hr, and only one lane will reopen. Work clearing debris and repairing the road will continue in the second lane for approximately six more weeks. Motorists are asked to expect delays of about 10 minutes. The state government says most of the damage to the road is limited to its surface without affecting the road base, meaning the repairs required are not extensive. : RoadsTas
