25.01.2022 7 years ago we ran the Blackmores 9km ‘Bridge Run’ through the Sydney CBD. It took us approximately 55 minutes... not bad, considering it was 3 years after being told I may never run again... showed him Whatever your goal is, keep pushing and working hard until you reach it

13.01.2022 The BURPEE - was named after its creator, US physiologist Royal H. Burpee, who created it in the ’30s. Initially it was designed to be performed for 4 reps but are now being used as a torture session for participants of a #WOD or some #HIIT session. The original version didn’t include the push-up, but Is a variant called the ‘Bastardo’ - pretty sure we’re all might think this is an appropriate title. ... 12.01.2022 In light of the recent occurrences in ADF deaths, we decided to initiate a discussion about why it could be happening and received an overwhelming response. Fir...stly, thank you to all for your input. It got us thinking about what more can be done about the crisis that is veteran suicide. There are a lot of positive movements out there (R U OK, It’s not weak to speak, It’s OK not to be OK, etc.) and it’s great to see that the community is clearly becoming more aware and passionate about it; it demonstrates the start of a cultural overhaul. Then we had a troubling thought - are we perhaps now putting the onus of seeking help back on our mates, hoping that they’ll simply reach out? It’s widely known that this can be a difficult topic for people, as although there is a push to eliminate the stigma, not everyone is able to get past the feeling of being a burden to their friends or family. We’re sure a lot of you have seen the following post: Door’s always open, the kettle can be switched on or, with luck, a beer in fridge I'm doing a BROTHER/SISTER check-in, showing support for one another. This is an amazing start, but we wonder how many people have actually been the one to reach out to a brother/sister in need. How can we be more pro-active? We’d like to challenge you to reach out to at least THREE of your mates... it might be ones that you haven’t heard from in a while, that you might be a little worried about, or even just a good mate who you talk to all the time. We’re asking you to call or message them, have a chat and then plan a face-to-face (coffee, beer, whatever). Reaching out can go beyond a general social media check. Make sure your mates actually know that this sentiment of your door being open to them for support is legitimate by being the one to reach out and organise a meet-up. Who knows, perhaps you are the lifeline that that person has been waiting for: just a mate showing that they genuinely care and then acting on it. #TPE #MATECHECK

11.01.2022 On this day 10 years ago one of the therapies the hospital had me undertake was some constraint therapy where they would bandage my right hand up which forced me to use my left hand. Because of the Brain Injury, my muscle control and coordination was almost home and I slowly had to rebuild the neurological pathways from my brain to my hand and fingers. Try and use your non-master hand for most daily activities, and see how you go. ... It’s great for your brains health to learn to use your non-master hands
