10.01.2022 Heel Pain Cycle- What is it? Heel Pain is a microtear that has occurred though overuse. The microtear is usually at the tendon insertion to the heel (calcaneus), it is usually located on the bottom of your foot in the middle of the heel!... The microtear can also be along the length of the arch at the bottom of your foot. The tear causes inflammation as the body tries to heal it. Inflammation causes pain. When you sit or lay down, blood rushes in to heal the area. When you stand up again, you re-tear the area which was trying to be healed. Its a vicious cycle! There are a few options to solve this! 1.
