17.01.2022 HI All, Well after about 20 drafts of this message and many edits in between, here goes! It’s extremely difficult to put in words they way many of us are feeling at the moment. Instead of getting ready to attend the Presentation night for the 2020 Worlds, we are sitting at home wondering what might have been. For those who were attending their 1st Worlds or for those who have attended many before it’s a bittersweet moment. Everyone at every level trained and trained to get ...the chance. Then the chance got taken away not by anything else but a very unfortunate chain of events. It is what it is at the moment and if there is one thing I can assure you of if will improve and we will get back to doing the things we all love. It’s a time factor now. Plain and simple. What I encourage you all to do is today or this evening take some time to reflect on Barefooting in Australia and the part you play. Make a plan with yourself to maybe bring something new to the table when we get going again. A new trick, learn a new role make a plan to make a difference. For those old enough have a well earned drink, and for those not have a soft drink! At about the right time. You will know when it is sing a simple song to yourself!!! Alloutte could be a very good choice. Maybe post your own version of it on the 2020 page! Go live. Enjoy what we all enjoy about each other. If I can impart just one thing to you all it’s that we all feel the same. We are all sad about not being together, we are all sad about not doing the things we love and seeing the people we most care about. But maybe the time is now to celebrate what we have achieved even if we didn’t get to do it on the water. Everyone has got to where we are by being a champion person. It’s not the medal around your neck that makes you. It’s You who defines yourself. I’m immensely proud of every single one of you and I’m positive I speak for all in the sport around Australia. When the dust clears and we are back in the water once again we will all remember this time and the challenges we all faced not only individually but as a Team and Federation. Barefoot Australia will survive! We will once again kick the goals we achieve for. So heads up, shoulders back and sing long and loud if you get the chance. Geoff See more

12.01.2022 $360 donation was very kindly given to Forbes Barefoot Water Ski Club to pass on to a recipient of their choice to help out a drought effected community. The C...lub chose the Grease and Oil Change Workshops ran by Cherie Stitt and her team from The Back Room. This is not for profit organisation based in Forbes, Central West NSW and dedicated to improving the health and well being of rural men and women. This kind donation will go towards running the 2020 Grease and Oil Change event. Both the Forbes Barefoot Waterski Club and The Back Room would like to thank the Peter Taylor Memorial Barefoot Waterski Tournament, the Taylor Family, Dimboola Water Ski Club, Nigel Crisp and Darrin Bone for this generous donation. Its great to small rural communities helping each other out. Pictured is Jim Cronin - Forbes Barefoot Waterski Club passing on the donation $ to Cherie Stitt - The Back Room.
