25.01.2022 It appears some low-life has decided to tea leaf our sign at the entrance to Helles Park. . If you know of its whereabout, we'd like it back please. Being able to identify our location to emergency services is paramount as evidenced last Sunday, when in need of an Ambulance for one of our skiers.

17.01.2022 HELP WANTED Greg Brown has been compiling the earlier history of Barefooting -Prior to 1978. It is something that he is passionate about and has put in 400-50...0 hours so far. He is hoping to be finalised by September but is still keen to scrape up as much history as he can find. CAN YOU HELP ? -Do you have any history items to share? -Do you know anybody that does? -Do you know anybody who you can ask? -Could we put a call out to others through mailing list, facebook pages etc.? -Can you help spread the word? Greg is an old South Australian skier, competed and skied in the era of Garry Barton. He is so interesting to talk to, he knows so much about what has happened in the past in our sport. If you are not yet friends with Greg Brown on fb and please look up his profile. His email address is: [email protected] if you would like to provide some information.

10.01.2022 HI All, Well after about 20 drafts of this message and many edits in between, here goes! Its extremely difficult to put in words they way many of us are feelin...g at the moment. Instead of getting ready to attend the Presentation night for the 2020 Worlds, we are sitting at home wondering what might have been. For those who were attending their 1st Worlds or for those who have attended many before its a bittersweet moment. Everyone at every level trained and trained to get the chance. Then the chance got taken away not by anything else but a very unfortunate chain of events. It is what it is at the moment and if there is one thing I can assure you of if will improve and we will get back to doing the things we all love. Its a time factor now. Plain and simple. What I encourage you all to do is today or this evening take some time to reflect on Barefooting in Australia and the part you play. Make a plan with yourself to maybe bring something new to the table when we get going again. A new trick, learn a new role make a plan to make a difference. For those old enough have a well earned drink, and for those not have a soft drink! At about the right time. You will know when it is sing a simple song to yourself!!! Alloutte could be a very good choice. Maybe post your own version of it on the 2020 page! Go live. Enjoy what we all enjoy about each other. If I can impart just one thing to you all its that we all feel the same. We are all sad about not being together, we are all sad about not doing the things we love and seeing the people we most care about. But maybe the time is now to celebrate what we have achieved even if we didnt get to do it on the water. Everyone has got to where we are by being a champion person. Its not the medal around your neck that makes you. Its You who defines yourself. Im immensely proud of every single one of you and Im positive I speak for all in the sport around Australia. When the dust clears and we are back in the water once again we will all remember this time and the challenges we all faced not only individually but as a Team and Federation. Barefoot Australia will survive! We will once again kick the goals we achieve for. So heads up, shoulders back and sing long and loud if you get the chance. Geoff See more

06.01.2022 It is with regret we make this announcement: the Peter Taylor Memorial Tournament has been postponed on the advice of local government and health authorities. W...e are devastated as the Committee for the community and joint partners as there has been a massive amount of work and investment made to take the event to the next level. Once we establish the event as able to run we will start to bring you updates. We appreciate your support and understanding at this difficult time. Thank you.
