21.01.2022 Quote from a 4yr old it’s a beautiful day to be out here! while looking up at you with a smile full of happiness. OT Bridgette - The best part of OT is getting to incorporate children’s strengths and interests to enable independence, development, and increase overall well-being. Today, that looked like this...

From all of us at Barefoot Therapists, we THANK YOU for your support throughout what has been a challenging year of constant appointment changes and ever moving compliance goals. We hope you enjoy your Thank You Day in whatever way makes your heart sing.

17.01.2022 It’s Melbourne Cup Day, so our clinic is closed and our therapists are relaxing. We hope you enjoy this stunning day in whatever way makes you smile. At our Boneo Hobby Farm, it’s just like any other day - all about the horses.... We couldn’t love them more.

14.01.2022 It’s OT WEEK!! We wish to celebrate our AMAZING BAREFOOT team of OTs. As melbourne celebrates the long awaited easing of Covid Restrictions the themes of OT Week are all about #rebuild #recover & #reengage We can all relate.

14.01.2022 Our OT and triathlete Tanya might need to start an ‘Ironman’ group. This is wonderful when you think people with Down syndrome have low muscle tone as one of their challenges. Well done Nikic on showing how people can do all sorts of things if they have the motivation.

13.01.2022 A Christmas elf popped into the clinic over the weekend..... it put a smile on the faces of children and warmed the hearts of our staff...

12.01.2022 The three way relationship between a speech pathologist, parent/carer and child is so important. Research suggests that when parents get helpful tips and ideas from their speechie to work on at home, children get the best outcomes. Our speech therapy leader Kara finds this anecdotally too. But if you don’t have the time, patience or energy for home practice, don’t worry, the sessions alone are enough to make effective and positive changes to see your child reaching their goals.

12.01.2022 Who is gonna make you smile today?? A session at our hobby farm ALWAYS puts smiles on the faces of those lucky children. Happy Friday!

11.01.2022 Sarah Munn - What does being an OT mean to me? OT is the amazing fusion of science and creativity to bring about the valued changes in a persons relationships, roles and daily experiences. From the mundane tasks of self care to the excitement of hobbies and work - we care about it all.

05.01.2022 OT Susan - What I love about being an OT....the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life and supporting them to achieve what’s important to them .... being able to be creative and to use everyday activities .... walking into work and never knowing what might happen in your day.... never being bored.... and the list goes on... #otweek #multidisiplinaryteam #barefoottherapists
