22.01.2022 We can confirm that the outage on the network affecting nbn services in parts of NSW remains ongoing. Technicians have confirmed that the 288 fibre cable has been completely severed and the repair works required are significant and complex - two new fibre access pits need to be installed and 300 metres of cable needs to be replaced. An ETA has still not been supplied for services to be restored, however, work is likely to continue into the evening due to the severity of thi...s issue. 20.01.2022 NETWORK OUTAGE | Our network team are currently investigating an unplanned outage affecting MATE internet services across multiple states. 17.01.2022 OUTAGE UPDATE | The outage affecting nbn services across parts of NSW MAY be resolved for some users, however, remains ongoing for others. The Fibre repair crew have been working overnight in Sydney on the damaged fibre cables. On Fibre #1 of 5 (consisting of 312 fibres) they have spliced from fibres 1 to 24. On Fibre #2 of 5 (consisting of 120 fibres) they have spliced from fibres 1 to 36 which has restored some services. Restoration work is ongoing. Once again, we sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this issue has caused. We will continue to keep you updated as information is provided.

17.01.2022 We can confirm there is currently an outage on the network affecting nbn services in parts of NSW including Asquith, Balmain, Erskine Park, Glebe, Kellyville, Shalvey and many surrounding areas. This is the result of a major fibre cut close to the Chatswood Exchange. Fibre technicians are working on the issue, but no ETA has been provided for rectification. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and will provide further updates as more information comes to hand.

16.01.2022 We can confirm that there is currently an outage/disruption to nbn Internet services in parts of NSW. If your Internet service is currently offline, this may be the cause. We can confirm that the cause is a Telstra fibre cut to multiple cables. The fibre repair crew has located the damage and are currently working to repair this ASAP. Unfortunately, no ETA for resolution has been provided at this stage. We sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience caused due to this issue, and will keep you updated.

16.01.2022 OUTAGE UPDATE | We can confirm the network outage relating to a DNS issue remains ongoing. Our network provider has been working throughout the night and some services have improved, however, many customers will still be experiencing issues. Work will continue during the day to implement a permanent resolution.... Once again, we sincerely apologise for the issue and will keep you updated.

14.01.2022 OUTAGE UPDATE | The outage affecting some internet services remains ongoing. Our network provider has identified the cause as a DNS issue with certain services, resulting in erratic speeds and browsing issues. Unfortunately, there is still no ETA for a resolution.... We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and once again thank you for your patience. A further update will be provided at 8AM AEST.

12.01.2022 OUTAGE RESOLVED | We can confirm that the unplanned outage affecting Barefoot internet services across NSW, ACT, VIC and WA is now reported as resolved. If your internet service is still offline, we recommend power cycling your modem/router. To do this: 1. Unplug the black power cable from the back of your modem/router;... 2. Leave the power cable out for at least 30 seconds; 3. Plug the power cable back in and allow the modem to power up this can take up to 3 minutes. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Our network provider is still working to resolve the outage but the cause of the issue has not yet been identified and no ETA has been provided. 08.01.2022 OUTAGE UPDATE | The outage to nbn Internet services in parts of NSW due to a Telstra fibre cut is still ongoing. We can advise that the fibre repair crew has confirmed the damage location is on the corner of Pitt and Alfred Streets in Sydney. The identified damage has affected a total of five (5) cables totalling 1488 fibres, so this is quite a significant issue. Additional resources and technicians are being deployed to repair the cables as soon as possible, however, there i...s still no ETA for a resolution at this stage. Once again, we sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this issue has caused. We will continue to keep you updated as information is provided.

06.01.2022 We can advise that the outage on the network affecting nbn services in parts of NSW remains ongoing. So far, technicians have repaired 36 fibres out of 288, but fibre splicing continues. It appears the damage is more widespread than first anticipated. An ETA has still not been supplied for services to be restored.... 05.01.2022 We can confirm that the nationwide NAB banking outage (https://ab.co/2s9E6PQ) has affected payments today. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Just a note to advise that our billing system will reattempt any outstanding payments in 4 days automatically, so there is no action required from you at this stage and your Internet services won't be affected.

05.01.2022 OUTAGE RESOLVED | Our network provider has confirmed that the outage resulting in slow speeds and browsing issues should now be resolved. We recommend power cycling your modem/router. To do this, unplug the power cable from the back of your modem/router, leave the cable out for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and allow a few minutes for your modem/router to reboot.
