19.01.2022 Okay.. pommel sizing - you must do a pommel sizing. I feel like a broken record Would you guess your kids shoe size, no you would not!! ... I have had so many calls and email regarding pommel sizing over the past week.. I explain what to do, very simple, only for people too turn around and say - I am not doing that or I can not be bothered or too hard Wrong thing to say to me.. If you don’t want to print out templates, purchase a set off the website. I have had many people not really sure so they send me 10 photos do video calls and even send me a video.. I would rather that then hear someone say- they can not be bothered.. This is your horses, please do the right thing and do a very simple pommel sizing..
19.01.2022 I often contacted by people telling me there is something wrong with their saddles as it slips to one side, unfortunately it isn’t the saddle it is the rider. In a treeless saddle this is more pronounced as there is no tree bitting into the horse and making the saddle, somewhat stable on his/hers back. Even if you are not centred siting in the Saddle - bum into cantle and legs forward. This is going to create issue for the horse, not just the horse being unbalanced but cau...sing the horse pain. If you are in QLD go attend a clinic, if not sign up for the seasons. I can tell you you will not regret it!! Message Mel, if you are unsure where to start.. take that first step !! I love doing my strong stable seat exercises, I really look forward too it every day as I know I am making a positive change. 12.01.2022 One of the participants at yesterdays Activate Your Core clinic wanted to work on her riding asymmetry. She has been struggling with slipping to the side and n...ot being able to sit in the centre as you can see from the picture on the left. When a rider has an asymmetry such as this it is normal to not know what the centre or sitting straight feels like. In this case Karen Crommelin Dressage used bands to help the rider find their centre. Using cross lateral stability such as these bands provides the rider with feedback so she can begin to feel where her midline is. The results are remarkable!! Of course this isn't an immediate fix and will take time and consistent effort, however the rider has been sent home with a few fitball exercises to practise as well as some on the horse exercises. Watch this space!!

10.01.2022 Posting again :) As the weather warms up in Victoria and other parts of Australia, it brings out the flies, oh my goodness are they bad at our place.. Not ever horse is happy to have a full face fly vail (i have a few of those), then when it comes to riding with a full face fly vail, most just get in the way.... Please understand, if Barefoot could speed up the production they would, but they just can not and Barefoot are doing the best they can.
