24.01.2022 How do we know God exists? This is the starting point of every seeker who wants to understand the eternity that is in their hearts. It is a question we must all face, and the answer is a resounding yes, He exists! Therefore if God exists, can we really know Him? And if we can know Him, how much of God can we know? This is a profound wonder, that we can know God! However, because of our sinfulness, if we are to know God at all, then it is necessary that He reveals Himself to u...s. If He reveals Himself to us, and if we can know God, then how is God different from us? If God is different from us, then how is God like us in His being and in mental and moral attributes? How is God like us in attributes of will and in attributes that summarize His excellence? So many questions our hearts desire the answer for! If you want to get to know more about the invisible God, it is the next subject I am preparing at Barefoot University. We need to remember that in this world God must enable us to be persuaded or we would never believe in Him. The god if this world has blinded our minds to keep us from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. In this sinful world, human wisdom is inadequate for coming to know God, therefore our preaching must be in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that our faith does not rest in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. We are dependant upon God to remove the blindness and irrationality caused by sin and to enable us to evaluate the evidence rightly, believe what Scripture says, and come to saving faith in Christ! We need to know God, personally and intimately, to worship and serve Him. God created us to reflect His glory, and as such, we are being changed into His likeness from one degree of glory to another, we are image-bearers of God and servants of the Lord Jesus Christ! 02.01.2022 The Christmas story, of the birth of Jesus, is the most wonderful time of the year as we reflect on the most important event in the history of the world and the greatest gift given to mankind! We can only stop and exclaim as John did, Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. What a glorious message of hope for the whole world - Jesus came to save us! Hallelujah! However, for many people, Christmas is a dark, difficult and painful time as Satan deceives a...Continue reading

02.01.2022 Every Christian should have a deep desire to know God, to be in right relationship with Him, to have a passionate pursuit of His presence, to seek fellowship with Him, to see His glory revealed, and to worship Him in spirit and truth. As such, what comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. The fact that our view of God shapes our lives to a great extent is one of the reasons the Bible makes such a big deal about knowing Him.... The question, "what is God like? is the primary thought of every person when they think about God. Therefore, the most revealing thing about ourselves or the Church is our idea of God. If you can answer the question, what comes to your mind when you think about God? you will be able to predict the spiritual future of that person or Church. It is my opinion that modern Christianity is simply not producing the kind of Christian who can appreciate the concept of the glory and majesty of God. It seems to be a condition in the Church that is steadily growing worse. With our loss of a sense of the awesome Person of God has come the further loss of holy fear and reverential awe of the divine presence of God. As such, many have lost the spirit of worship as they believe in a concept of God that is not worthy of the God the modern Church projects. Modern believers have adopted a low view of God which has caused a whole new philosophy of the Christian life to spring forth - one that does not see God as He is. As individuals, and as the Church, we need to recoup our spiritual losses and rediscover the knowledge of the Almighty God. If you are hungry to know God, then join me on an adventure to discover and grow in the knowledge of God by taking the course, "the invisible God." As you explore His divine nature and attributes you will grow in an understanding of who He is. As you draw near to Him and He draws near to you, you will get to know Him personally and intimately, you will get to know what God is like - and its more glorious than you can imagine!

01.01.2022 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" Psalm 46:10. Or, "Be still and experience that I am God." Just think about that... The culmination of knowledge is not conceptual but experiential. ... My personal experience of the love of God did not come from theological degrees, exegesis, theologians or spiritual writers, but from sitting still in the presence of the living Word and humbly asking Him to help me to understand with my head and heart His amazing grace. Intellectual study and scholarship alone cannot reveal the love and grace of God. We must never allow the authority of books, institutions, or leaders to replace the authority of knowing Jesus personally and directly. God can and does make His presence felt, He can and does speak in the silence of our hearts. He can bathe us in the sunshine of His love until we no longer doubt that He is near, that He is here. There is in essence, only one thing God asks of us, that we are men and women of prayer, people who live close to God, where He is everything and for whom He is enough. His call to us is simply this, to be people who are content to live close to Him and to renew the kind of life in which the closeness is felt and experienced. Like the sun rising every morning, and expecting a glorious revelation of majestic, breathtaking beauty, so is it with our relentless search to know God, our hopeful expectation that we would glimpse His glory, blow our minds wondering in the magnificence of His greatness, becoming speechless when we see Him, no words can explain, our vocabulary is too limited to express, and feeling His relentless love warming our hearts and filling us with joy inexpressible and full of glory, we can only be still and experience that He is God. Somehow my heart captures a little bit of the wonder of God in this photo I took in New Zealand early one morning.
