25.01.2022 We’re counting down the days until we’re back in the bus and on the road once again We miss everything about this lifestyle but sometimes having a bed to ourselves, a washing machine and ACTUAL kitchen set up outweigh the bus life - even for a short while. I'm experimenting with a bunch of different fabrics, colours and patterns lately, and cannot be more thrilled to release a new collection coming very soon...... 17.01.2022 I’ve been dabbling in creative projects since I can remember. With a heart lusting for adventure, and with a spirited gypsy soul, Barefoot Wanderer got launched in 2016. Growing up surrounded by nature and secluded beaches, did not only give me a beautiful life on the road.. Consistently visiting new beautiful diverse places, gave me stories and inspiration that I now finally can share with you beautiful wanderers out there Love and storytelling have ...been the one thing through our history that managed to travel through time and space. 07.01.2022 Where did it all begin... Funnily enough, it was actually on a trip to Cambodia where I met with a local seamstress to work on some patterns. We sat for hours in her studio, drinking iced coffee and sketching out patterns. Making dreams reality!... She took me to the local fabric market where we walked the cluttered hallways of colourful fabric rolls. That was one of my first experiences of creating clothing from start to finish and although it kinda failed, I certainly learnt a lot about so many things to do with the design process and also the manufacture process. From the very start when I began sewing clothing and accessories I’d always pictured that I’d keep my brand personal by offering hand-made products. And that is where I am right now; offering delicate, heartfelt pieces to my beautiful wanderers out there who are seeking eco-friendly, sustainable, slow fashion to keep the world spinning I know how important it is to preserve the Earth and all its glory and many of you feel the same way, which is why I have created slow fashion that has been upcycled and repurposed to provide a new life. 04.01.2022 Covid has allowed time for me to reflect on what I want to achieve over the coming months and years. I’ve been spending my time wisely, writing down goals and how I can work towards them. One goal in particular is an upcoming range I’ve been working on, that’s been on the back burner for a while and is finally coming together after taking TRIPLE the amount of time I thought it initially would take. But, it’s been a welcomed realisation to take things slow & thoughtfully to carefully create something I am so passionate about which helps me look forward to the exciting new times ahead within these crazy circumstances!
