12.01.2022 Some good news. New South Wales border towns with Victoria will move to a green zone from 6:00pm tonight, ensuring easier movement for people on either side of... the border. This includes Albury City, Balranald Shire, Bega Valley Shire, Berrigan Shire, City of Broken Hill, Edward River Council, Federation Council, Greater Hume Shire, Hay Shire, Lockhart Shire, Murray River Council, Murrumbidgee Council, Snowy Monaro Regional Council, Snowy Valleys Council, City of Wagga Wagga and Wentworth Shire. What this means is that Victorians visiting these towns will be able to do so without having to isolate for 14 days when they return home. You'll still have to apply for a permit here: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/border-permit/home Sadly Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera are NOT included in the bubble as yet, but I'm still pushing the Victorian Government on this. Cross-border communities still do not need to apply for a travel permit, as long as they carry a valid form of ID with their address like a driver licence and have not been in a current orange or red zone area in the last 14 days. As of 6:00pm (Victorian AEDT) Monday 18 January, the Blue Mountains, Wollongong and all Greater Sydney LGAs except for Blacktown City, Burwood, Canada Bay City, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield City, Inner West, Liverpool City, Parramatta City and Strathfield Municipality will be declared an orange zone due to the improved epidemiological conditions there. To be clear: Green zone conditions: Those travelling from a designated green zone must apply for a permit to enter Victoria. You cannot apply for a permit if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, nor if you have visited either a red or orange zone. Orange zone conditions: Those travelling from a designated orange zone must apply for a permit to enter Victoria. You cannot apply for a permit if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, nor if you have visited a red zone. Travelling through a red zone for the purpose of transit, is allowed.

Food and fuel comes under ...the heading supplies and as Koondrook doesnt have a grocery store, butcher, bakery or petrol station the Border Zone Resident Permit will allow Koondrook residents to pop over to Barham to do your shopping. Please note a new permit will be required.
