If youve had bariatric weight loss surgery, its essential to take a good high dose multivitamin and it is recommended to use the bariatric ones as they are designed to have a good range of vitamins and minerals at a good dose for those whove had surgery. But why one should you take?... Theres a few on the market and it can be dependent of personal taste. While there are slight differences in the formulas, the bariatric multivitamins are similar in vitamin and mineral content (give or take) except when it comes to calcium. Tablet or capsule multivitamins dont contain the calcium content as does the chewable bariatric multivitamins. So when deciding which to choose, be sure to take into consideration if you are able to get your calcium from foods and or calcium supplements or would prefer to get some from your bariatric multivitamin as well as food.
