25.01.2022 Our fellow tenant at Baristador Coffee, Lord Devotea of The Devotea, interrupted his funny tea cartoons today, for a serious one. We certainly concur, from the perspective of the welfare of coffee workers, hence we get coffee that is traded fairly not like the product hoarded and exploited by those huge commodity corporations.

24.01.2022 Always remember to pack your Baristador Coffee, a portable heat source and a portable espresso making device when you travel in the outback, because good coffee makes the world a better place. PS Not that Parachilna Gorge needs much improving. It’s gorge-ous and just a stone’s throw from the Prairie Hotel. PPS Orders close soon for our next group roasting!

23.01.2022 Dear friends, Im about to make my first cup of tea now that Robert Godden is on board with his The Devotea range. But my wife is out and Ive got no idea if we have the correct apparatus. So I messaged her, but methinks this was a Freudian slip. - Steve

23.01.2022 I'm doing my bit to secure coffee supplies for all my Baristadorians. Orders close tonight for the next group espresso roasting. Hope I can be of help to warm you through winter! https://baristador.com/pro/benchmark-blend-espresso-coffee/

23.01.2022 The coffee circle of life! These spent grounds are heading to our vegetable garden to complete their role in the circle of life. How do you use your grounds? #espresso #coffee #coffeegrounds #circleoflife #baristador

22.01.2022 What a delightful text message to receive. Especially when theres less than two wells before orders close for our next group roasting. Glad to be off service.

22.01.2022 There's some truth to this, Dana Mallach!

22.01.2022 My little girls have helped label some coffee bags ready for our next group roast in October. And it looks like some BONUS labels/stickers have made their way onto the bags. Love those cheeky monkeys!

22.01.2022 A welcoming re-sharing of the Baristador theme song, to welcome Robert Godden from The Devotea into our world, as we count down to the second round of roasting and blending together. Thank you, always, to Brett Monten for this stellar work.

21.01.2022 I've never offered this before BUT I have had some customers almost beg me for it. I have arranged to do some plain, 1kg bags of whole beans, double roasted, and by doing my full strength roast, we can get the price right down to $35/kg. If you're interested, you have a week and a bit to get an order in before our next group roasting. It's an economical way to have better coffee in your office or other places of high volume use (gotta use the beans while fresh).

21.01.2022 We think this is a public service. You be the judge!

20.01.2022 Almost time for the last Group Roasting of 2018 - no, not in the mind, in reality!

19.01.2022 Orders for our next group roasting close Monday night and Steve's made a video to accompany the newsletter reminder. But what is he saying at this point in the video? Caption this, if you dare! http://baristador.com/order-your-coffee/

16.01.2022 Tonight, midnight, is the deadline for ordering from the next group coffee roasting. If you'd like some double-roasted espresso coffee to see you though the toughest parts of winter, click through to the Baristador site ASAP. It's still on special at $13.00 a bag! http://baristador.com/prod/benchmark-blend-espresso-coffee/

16.01.2022 Have I mentioned that orders for our next group coffee roasting close tomorrow night? That means you need to move at espresso speed to get your order tamped down with the rest of us https://baristador.com/pro/benchmark-blend-espresso-coffee/

16.01.2022 A very dear friend of Baristador Coffee, Lee Hopkins, helped Steve shoot this video about how to make espresso on the road. Hope you enjoy it.

15.01.2022 There is a lot of truth in this. I have improvised coffee making methods a number of times through the years, right down to adding grounds to a cup, adding hot water, stirring, waiting, and then drinking carefully. Have you ever had to improvise?

15.01.2022 One more sleep before orders close for the first ever group ROAST and BLEND. Yes, The Devotea tea and Baristador Coffee espresso are all under the one roof and ready for you to order. How excited are we? Very. We're "steeped" in excitement and it's "extracting" every ounce of attention from us. I even made a video with Robert to confirm the news. Hope to serve you soon! Both tea and coffee available now at https:baristador.com

15.01.2022 What we love about Robert Godden being part of the Baristador family now is that even though he can't risk himself drinking coffee (relapse risk), he has a big heart. Here's a story about deliveries from our first ever group roasting/blending.

14.01.2022 Something very special is about to go out in the Baristador Coffee newsletter. It's a special gift and an offer for you to try A+ by Bar 9. A+ is a blend of esp...resso with amino acids that boost brain function in a number of ways. More will be explained in the newsletter. And tomorrow night is the deadline for getting your orders in for our last group roasting in 2018. Baristador.com See more

14.01.2022 Methinks Robert Godden of The Devotea has opened up the world of tea to this confirmed old coffee guy (Steve Davis). Watch this space. The wonders of tea history in Australia being shared at Campbelltown Public Library for History Trust of South Australia History Month.

13.01.2022 Hats off to Mandeep from Fastway Couriers and all delivery people. I never knew how hard they worked until I discovered that our latest group roasting delivery of espresso coffee today was drop off number 60 in a day of 110 deliveries for him. Respect! Thanks Mandeep, now my Baristadorians will get their desperately needed supplies very shortly.

13.01.2022 Crikey, make sure your coffee and tea orders are in some time Monday.

12.01.2022 Funny on the surface but completely ignorant of the beautiful, double-roasted decaf blends we produce at Baristador Coffee. It's funny how lazy jokes just hang around, even when the evidence marches on. But, for those of us in the know, our little blends keep hitting the spot! My goodness, our first group roasting for the year is getting closer. We close orders in the first week of every even month, so that means February is first up!

12.01.2022 I thought I'd seen it all. Could be a winter project, if only I drank milk in my coffee!

11.01.2022 Two quotes worth noting: "While decaf doesn't confer ALL the health benefits of the high-test, it's confers most of them. And with craft roasteries proliferating through the civilized parts of America, it's pretty easy to get super-high-quality decaf. So there's no reason to spend the rest of your (probably now longer) life suffering from the caffeine jitters." "If you buy high-quality coffee, store it correctly, and regularly clean your coffee-maker, additives are unnecessar...y. (Coffee is naturally sweet.)" Thank you to Baristador Coffee customer, Lee Hopkins, for pointing out this article.

10.01.2022 We don't often take the time to send a cheerio to people who are engaged in thinking carefully about what they eat and drink but Sophie from North East Natural Health Centre is a naturopath who we've seen going the extra mile to help her clients get their beverage needs sorted. Obviously, we've been privileged to be able to offer our coffees with low or next-to-no caffeine but we applaud her (and are intrigued by) her DIY herbal tea workshops. How good it is to be mindful of what we consume. Please say hi to Sophie if you're in the Wangaratta area.

10.01.2022 I have some big news, Baristadorians. Orders for our final group roasting of 2018 close Monday night AND we have a BONUS product for you to try. Imagine a solid, black bottle containing three shots of coffee and a blend of legal, medically-sound amino acids that help stimulate your brain to high function? I've tried A+ by Bar 9 and I believe it has helped me achieve some breakthroughs. So, look out for our reminder enewsletter this weekend and include some A+ in your order. This is going to be a very special Christmas. [Steve] PS If you are not on the Baristador Coffee mailing list, message me, and I'll add you.

08.01.2022 Okay, this is not my best Photoshop work. But, I was typing out the Baristador Coffee and The Devotea newsletter with the line, Last Drinks Before Christmas, and it just reminded me of this iconic scene from The Shining. So, hopefully this will subconsciously compel you to consider getting your order in before Tuesday night at midnight, so that all your gift giving and personal indulgence can be sorted in relation to coffee and tea. Then, on Christmas Eve, you can rock back a...nd forth in your rocking chair and sip on some red rum, red rum, red rum ... Hmmm, orders here: https://baristador.com/order-your-coffee/

07.01.2022 A dramatic way to remind you that orders for our first group roasting of 2019 close next week. Slurp!

07.01.2022 Good to see Robert Godden from The Devotea getting his tea deliveries done today. Our coffee will be on the road later this week. As they say, good things take time! Steve

07.01.2022 We don't support this approach. Or do we?

07.01.2022 It's time to put your order in for our next group roasting and THIS TIME we have a NEW BLEND. The flood of oil dollars in the Middle East means merchants there have bought up all the stocks of one of the key, African coffee beans I've used for 10 years. So I've gone to a different part of Africa and with my roaster guru, Yili, we have managed to keep the flavour profile very similar, albeit a little smoother. Order online at Baristador.com before midnight Tuesday.

06.01.2022 A friend shared this and it simply captures the truth about life :-)

06.01.2022 If you have Baristador Coffee or any other coffee at hand tonight, please consider having an affoCATo in honour of our company cat and movie star, Vivvy, who has gone to sleep in the great film set in the sky. Vivvy has appeared in a few videos for us but none so notorious as Vivvy's appearance in an old April Fool's Day video in which we pretended to make the famous weasel coffee or cat coffee at our premises. Enjoy the memories.

06.01.2022 Game of thrones is over. Winter is coming. My coffee is running out. Yes, this is serious. Please join me on a quest for more coffee with our next group roasting taking place next week. Please get your orders in before midnight Monday, or banish your coffee tastebuds to the Land Of Always Winter. https://baristador.com/pro/benchmark-blend-espresso-coffee/

05.01.2022 The tea side of Baristador Coffee, Robert Godden of The Devotea fame, has been turning heads with his cartoons recently. This one could equally apply to a coffee shop. Orders for our next group roasting and group blending close soon.

05.01.2022 Nothing says I love you, I love spring, I love life, like coffee. And before the long weekend ends, pop onto the Baristador site to order your coffee and tea before we close orders for the October group roast and group blend. We'd "love" to be helping you enjoy life to the full. Oh, but the clock is ticking - orders close late Tuesday. https://baristador.com/order-your-coffee/

05.01.2022 The good thing about welcoming Robert Godden to the bosom of Baristador Coffee, so you can also choose his The Devotea teas, is that we get him closer to returning to the dark "roast" side.

04.01.2022 It's official. The Devotea and Baristador Coffee have joined forces to offer our selction of teas and coffees from the one site: baristador.com To celebrate, a special episode of The Adelaide Show Podcast is being recorded to cover the correct making of tea and coffee, along with some other chatter. That episode will be out soon. Meanwhile, here is a snippet of parts of the "tea conversation" recorded yesterday with Lord Devotea Robert Godden, Espresso Evangelist Steve Davis,... and Simone Douglas from The Duke of Brunswick (where Robert's teas are sold). Some notes. These are just some random clips. The full AUDIO interview will be out soon. Robert's bandwidth was lacking the vitality of oomph that would have been there had his connection been more caffeinated - so there are some wobbly bits with the picture. Enjoy.

03.01.2022 A message from the Baristador bunker from Steve Davis. Orders for our next group roasting close Monday night. And here's what Steve is doing to ensure his supply.

02.01.2022 Who would have thought the company behind the iconic Italian stovetop espresso maker would be down to reading tea leaves to predict its future. I'll make a brew this weekend in coffeedarity (yes, an awkward portmanteau word blending coffee and solidarity).

01.01.2022 We don't encourage this dependency on coffee. Or do we?

01.01.2022 It would appear my preference for black coffee has some benefits. Of course, I welcome ALL coffee drinkers but thought this was worth a read. Thanks to Lee Hopkins for letting me know about it. [Steve]

01.01.2022 We agree. Save your money for decent coffee! PS Orders for the final group roasting of 2018 close this Monday night at midnight.
