17.01.2022 Hi everyone Today a statement was released revealing an elevated testosterone level in ruby delight at Geelong on the 5th of February 2020 who unfortunately was racing in our stable As the specifics of the positive we’re not defined as we would like to: Ruby delight has a granulosa-theca cell tumour (gct) this is one of the more common ovarian tumours in mares and produces testosterone. There is unfortunately for us no way to know if your mare has one of these tumours without veterinary diagnosis

15.01.2022 CLASSY youngster Urbadboy belied his name with a strong victory at Globe Derby just moments ago. Producing a tough run for trainer Kelvin Barker, Urbadboy captu...red a Southern Cross Final to complete a clean sweep of the futurity. Winner of his heat last weekend, the son of Restrepo outstayed his rivals in the Group Two decider. I’m absolutely thrilled with him, Barker said. He can do a few things wrong at times, but he did everything right tonight which was marvellous to see. He isn’t living up to his name, which he got because he was a bit of a bugger early on. The owner had two, one was a gem to do anything with and is a good boy, the other he couldn’t catch and is the bad boy. Now bad boy is a Group winner while good boy is big and awkward. He is in a massive long hopple as he’s a big striding horse which struggles to get around the corner and hasn't been able to run a placings from his eight starts. In comparison bad boy is an average size horse and made for racing. With Mark Billinger holding the reins, Urbadboy was given time to settle into his stride from the outside of the second row before being sent forward to test the leader, Just Cappy, from the ‘death seat’. Forging his way to the front along the back straight, Urbadboy staved off a late challenge from defending champion Ona Highway Tohell to score by a metre-and-a-half. Last season’s Consolation winner Hesashark was six metres away third. Rating 2:01 over 2230 metres, the three-year-old took his record to seven wins from 22 starts and earnings of $55,780 for owner Andrew Clarke. Unfortunately my son Mitchell and I could go over for the race, but we couldn’t be happier with the way he went, Barker said. A big thanks to Mal Bagnato who transported the horse over and looked after him at the track tonight. In what will be a busy week for the gelding, Barker plans to run Urbadboy in a Vicbred heat in Ballarat on Friday. The Vicbred is next for him, Barker said.
