06.01.2022 TITTIES Now that I have your attention, let’s talk body recomposition, and it’s correlation to mental health. No, seriously though, read this. ... When you’re in the market for a change in body composition, whether that be losing body fat, or building muscle. One of, if not THE MOST, important aspect is your mental health. If you’re looking to LOSE WEIGHT, you need to understand that your energy levels are going to be lower. You’re going to feel more tired, hungry, grouchy. How does this impact your mental health? Well, I don’t know, that’s a case by case. What I do know, is being tired, hungry, and irritable, can seriously impact someone’s mental health if done the wrong way, or at the wrong time of someone’s life. Before you begin your energy/calorie deficit, ask yourself how your mental health is. Are you prepared to feel a little on edge or easily frustrated? Now, building muscle. Typically speaking, building muscle can be fun, you’re hitting personal bests, you’re getting stronger and seeing some serious muscle gain! You’re full of energy and you get to eat more food! Here’s what I want you to be mindful of. Once again, where is your mental health at? Part of building muscle is understanding that there will be days when you’re feeling a little bloated, feeling a little inflated or squishy. And that’s okay! If you’re doing it the right way, under the right guidance, you can find a healthy medium. But it’s important you assess where your relationship with body image stands. If you are understanding that an extra kilo or two of body fat may be on the cards, if you’re understanding that a shirt mightn’t fit as well as usual, and you’re understanding that despite this, you’re going to grow stronger, mentally, and physically, do it. But please, stay mindful, understand that at the end of the day the single most important thing is staying happy. With yourself, with your direction, and with your journey. #healthylifestyle #personaltrainer #goldcoast See more
