A maximum of 2000 people will be permitted entry as a part of COVID-19 tracing. Entry will also be available at the gate but will be dependent on the amount of people in the venue. 20.01.2022 Congratulations to the finest goal umpire in the HFL Robin Crompton. Robin is a great Mt Barker Football Club member who has gone onto represent our club at the HFL level as a goal umpire at this years Div 1 A grade Grand Final. Words of respect have come to me from the top of the HFL and his piers in the umpiring fraternity. Thank you for representing the club at the highest level.

17.01.2022 Matthew Harford appointed U18s coach. The Mount Barker Football Club is pleased to announce Matthew Harford as the U18's coach. Matthew will be assisted by club vice president and newly awarded club life member Darren Small. Matthew has extensive coaching experience and his Hills Football League knowlege is second to none. He is a previous premiership coach with MBFC and we look forward to a successful 2021 for our u18s.... Go Roos!

16.01.2022 Note for tomorrow’s U14 Preliminary Final DIVISION 1 PRELIMINARY FINAL The Hills Football League has now had official notification from SA Health with approval to host a crowd of 2000 people at Echunga Oval on Saturday September 19th.... To fulfill our requirements with SA Health, this event will need to be contact traced. In order to make this process easier online tickets are now available at - https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/hfl-division-1-preliminary- Entry will also be available at the gate with cash or eftpos payment options depending on the numbers currently in the venue. If you are planning to purchase tickets at the gate, a contract tracing form will need to be filled in for every person, including newborn babies. 15.01.2022 Congratulations to Mike Field and Darren Small on receiving life membership to the Mt Barker Football Club. Outstanding contributors to the club for over 10 years. Dynamic, Respectful, Selfless, Supportive and Relentless, they both epitomise what it means to be Life Members of the MBFC. Club Patron Bruce Newman attended the night and put in a great performance as usual.

14.01.2022 2019 AFL Ken Gannon Community Facility Award. Thank you to the efforts of previous club presidents Malcolm Williams, Tim Glover and Graham Hughes in helping to realise this facility and award. MBFC has been very progressive in the development of women in football. Club volunteers Frank Howe who drove the set up of our women's competitions and past Club President Annabelle Greenslade have been recognised by having rooms named in honor of their service to the club. 08.01.2022 Congratulations to the U18 squad for season 2020. You built up a great respect for your team and laid the foundations for yourselves and the next group of young men coming into the team in season 2021. The club thanks Mark for his persistence in driving this. Mark is stepping down from the role after presentations this year. The U18 coach position has been advertised and applications have been received and more applicants have expressed an interest to apply. Acceptance of applications has been extended to Wednesday the 7th of October.

08.01.2022 Shoutout to some of our U16 boys who competed in this weeks U15 Intrastate Championship. The lads represented Sturt Country across 3 games this school holidays. 06.01.2022 The Mt Barker Football Club Presentation night was a great success on Friday night. Although a big crowd attended numbers had to be limited due to venue capacity. To those members and sponsors who could not come I apologise. We look to 2021 for a larger crowd for another superb night. The Marston Family Club Person of the year was awarded to Katie Sewell. Katies work as Womens Football Director was outstanding both at Club level and with the HFL. The award was accepted by Jordy and no greater love could have been bestowed on a piece of silverware.

01.01.2022 Another busy weekend for MBFC Junior sides! Our U14s played their Preliminary Final and ended up third best in the competition. Our U13s played their Grand Final and ended up second best in the competition. This follows up from our U12 sides ending up 2nd and 3rd best in the competition last week. The Auskick finished up today and I think they would have been the best in the world. Thanks Brett and Gregg!! Junior presentations and Auskick today and we would have had close to... 450 players and parents through the oval and club rooms today. Thank you to the Junior committee and especially Renee for her great efforts. Congratulations to the award winners in the U12s great work!
