23.01.2022 Hey Lovely People - We Are Hiring!! We are looking for a part time junior to join our team. We are all tired, and I’ve been working 7 days - and I’m getting grumpy. We still love doing what we are doing, and we certainly have not lost sight of why we do what we do. It’s all about the health of the dogs! (Oh yeah - cats too ) So we are here and we will keep doing what we are doing. We have been down a full time kitchen staff member since February- although we’ve been lucky t...o get a part timer who has been a great help for the past few months. It’s very tricky to hire someone full time with covid and restrictions, so I am hoping to find a local junior who can help with packing, cleaning and other tasks to help us get some rest. They do not need experience just a willingness to learn and get the job at hand done. Good communication skills and self motivation needed. Please pass on to anyone who you think may be suitable. 20.01.2022 Oh and don’t forget this Friday 23rd October is a public holiday - so we will be closed. We will be open Saturday Hey Everyone, just a quick update of how we will be operating with today’s new covid announcements. We will now have the store open with a maximum 3 people in store. So you can now come in store and do your shopping- yay! We kindly ask that: a) please disinfect your hand before shopping b) a quick shop is a good shop - please be mindful that there will probably... be people waiting outside and although we’ve missed seeing and chatting to you, we need to do things reasonably quickly. If you can have a look at the website to see most of the range so you know what you’d like before you come that would be awesome. c) please come in after 12pm if you can. We will still be needing to continue deliveries for those who can’t come. Having people in store and trying to pick, pack and call customers to get payment is extremely challenging. The size of our freezer to store stock and orders is logistically very challenging, even just hearing people over the phone to get payment details is tricky with customers in store and production out the back. If you have put in an order for delivery this week and you would like to cancel it and come in store instead and do your shopping please let me know ASAP. My Sunday job for the last few months has been putting together the delivery runs for the week. I’m currently doing them now. It’s a 4-6 hour job If you’d like to cancel it would help if you do it in the next few hours, before I write out all the delivery runs. 09.01.2022 Hey Lovely People - Yes we are open! Pet food can still trade. We will be moving to mainly delivery so you can jump on our website and pop in your order. We want to come out of this covid lockdown as soon as possible so the less people moving about the better. If you place your order before midday on the Friday it will be delivered the following week. Step 1 Place your order (if there is something you can’t find on the website or something you want to tell us just pop it in the comments section) Step 2 We will pick it and pack it Step 3 We will call you for payment Step 4 It will be delivered to your door and our driver will call you when they drop it off. Please remember we have to make all the food before attempting to deliver to you, and delivery almost quadruples our workload. It is a logistical nightmare because we have to pick it, pack it, label it and get it back in the freezer ready for delivery the next day. Because we have so many products we cannot hold more than a weeks worth in the freezer, so we have to basically send it out as soon as it’s made. So, the day it’s delivered will depend on stock availability and production. If people don’t panic buy everything will be ok and everyone’s fury family members will get what they need. Please remember that my team and I are doing the best we can. We lost a full time production staff member in February and haven’t been able to replace them since. It’s a very difficult time to hire. That may sound crazy but it’s true! Lockdown is definitely not a time to bring new people in, so it looks like the next 6 weeks at least hiring will be on hold. 04.01.2022 Hello Barking Good People. I need your help. I need to find a loving home for the special needs little Bella - so PLEASE SHARE Bella is around 13 years old, Maltese x and has diabetes. She is well regulated now with insulin twice a day, raw food and supplements. She needs a person who can feed at regular 12 hour intervals, is comfortable to pin prick to get glucose readings and can give the insulin injection twice a day. It takes around 10 minutes to test and give her the ...food and meds. In return for that, Bella would be happy giving cuddles all day. She is happiest when she gets to snuggle with you on the couch or on a little walk - (something I rarely have time to do). She’s ok with other dogs as long as they don’t get in her face. I will provide all the training for the diabetes and ongoing support to help keep Bella fit and well. 02.01.2022 Hey Barking Good People, We have had a few people let us know that their dogs have been sniffing their food and not wanting to eat it, and a few that have vomited or had runny poops. Well, I added mushrooms to the veggie mix and would never have thought that this vegetable that has such amazing health benefits would have put some noses out of joint! If your dog has vomited or had the runs it’s nothing to worry about, sometimes when their bodies have something new it just ex...pels it the fastest way possible. Generally the second or third time they have it, it’s fine. It must be like coriander- some of us love it and some of us hate it! If your dog doesn’t want to eat it, try add an egg or goat kefir to entice them. All our Barking Good dogs have been happily eating it, and I’ve even had feedback from a long time customer that with his 3 dogs, the oldest wouldn’t eat it the first day, but then decided it was fine the second day, and all of them have gotten shinier costs since they’ve been having it. If you can’t get your dog to eat it or it’s not sitting well with them give us a call at the shop and we will swap it for you.
