21.01.2022 A friendly reminder the Pool is closed to the Public Tomorrow from 8:30am to 2:30pm due to the Barkly Region School swimming carnival. Following this, it will re-open to the public and a NAIDOC BBQ starts from 3:30pm with free entry for all. The closing hours of 7pm remain the same.

17.01.2022 PSA The Tennant Creek pool has been closed due to technical problems with the pumping system. At this stage, the pool is closed now until the part arrives, hopefully on Monday. Proposed reopening is Tuesday at this stage. We will update you as soon as we know more.

12.01.2022 What a great opportunity it has been for our own Tennant Creek select side to be involved in this years John Moriarty Football NAIDOC competition. This is in...dicative of bringing sports back to the Barkly. JMF are looking at the possibility of returning for next year. Whilst in the meantime focusing on developing football here in the Barkly. Thank you also to Football Northern Territory for supporting this event. We look forward to working with you more closely to develop the sport here. Unfortunately the Saturday evening storms prevented the competition from going past the second game. However spirits remained high. 10.01.2022 No more pool queue! With the weather warming up we are going to move pool opening hours to 9am to 5pm 7 days a week. These are interim hours until feedback is finalised on summer trading hours.... Starting this Saturday 19 September 2020.

The event was held to raise awareness on breast and ovarian cancer and money for Cancer Council NT and Breast Screen NT. Thank you to everyone involved our community spirit is just amazing.

04.01.2022 Tennant Creek IGA is doing everything in its power to restore its stock and retail systems while providing an emergency service from the BP site. They have resumed bush orders, three cash registers will be operating by the weekend, six aisles stocked and hope to have its temporary supermarket up and running properly by the weekend. They will stock 2000 lines, providing a full range of products. You’ll be able to buy peas or cereals but not four to six brands.

02.01.2022 Week one down and what a hit it turned out to be (pun intended). We had 5 teams of over 60 players on Saturday from 9:30am-1:30pm. We had all levels of experien...ce and ages. No one was excluded and even people who had never played a sport before had a go. We encourage diversity and giving everyone a chance. Come down this Saturday and see what everyone is talking about.
