15.01.2022 Congratulations to the owner of this lovely pug, who had NINE PUG PUPPIES delivered by emergency caesarean last week. All puppies and mum are doing incredibly well

09.01.2022 Research shows that at around the age of 2, 80% of dogs have some sign of dental disease. If your dog has oral health problems, the first thing you'll notice is his bad breath but any of the following could indicate a dental problem: Bad breath Sore mouth Difficulty eating... Loose teeth or tooth loss Pawing or rubbing the mouth Bleeding gums Yellow or brown tartar on the teeth Dribbling Bad dental hygiene can lead to loss of teeth & make your pet prone to infections that may affect other organs in the body. Remember dental hygiene is important in all animals from dogs, cats & even horses.

02.01.2022 New canine parvovirus in Australia. But don’t panic! Researchers in Adelaide have recently reported the detection of a new type of canine parvovirus. Although this virus is new to Australia, it has been present in many overseas countries since 2000, and is very closely related to parvoviruses that have been present in Australia for the past 40 years. Experience from other countries that have this particular virus, as well as specific scientific studies, have shown that the cu...rrent vaccines we use are effective in providing protection against this new type. So what do you need to do? If your dog is up-to-date with its vaccinations nothing! Take your dog for a walk and enjoy Autumn :) However if your dog is unvaccinated, now is the time to schedule an appointment, as canine parvovirus, the old types and the new, can cause serious, and in many cases, fatal disease.
