18.01.2022 Barminco has completed a 468m underground development drive intersecting the North ventilation rise at Panoramic's Savannah Nickel Operation in Western Australia. This project milestone will enable the completion of the Fresh Air Raise for Savannah North which will provide ventilation to support future full-scale mining operations. Sam commenced his mining career through Barminco’s Graduate program in 2014, he talks about his experience within the program and how his time underground has given him a greater understanding and respect for his peers and all areas within our underground operations. During his time at Barminco, Sam has been able to pursue a range of opportunities, including achieving his shot firer’s ticket, receiving... his first class mine managers ticket and participating in our leadership program. He also talks about the support he has received from Barminco in his next endeavour to complete a Masters in Finance. 08.01.2022 Barminco is excited to provide an update on our soon to be completed state-of-the-art training centre in Maun, Botswana. The training centre replicates our head office facility in Western Australia with the purpose of training new employees for our operations at Khoemacau's Zone 5 Copper Mine. These facilities will enable Barminco to conduct structured training in an authentic underground work environment, focused on developing operational skills with blended learning methodo...logies that include equipment simulators, virtual reality, risk demonstrations and purpose-built emergency training equipment. The centre also includes a Trades Workshop facility to train local mechanical, fitting and electrical trades people in a variety of courses to upskill their knowledge and practical skills. 05.01.2022 We welcomed our 2020 intake for the Barminco Apprenticeship Program yesterday. Following a rigorous prequalification selection process, a group of 26 apprentices in Perth and six in Queensland were formally welcomed by Chief Operating Officer Mick Radi and Training Superintendent Trades Steve Motion and will go on to commence their training and induction in the coming weeks. Our 2020 intake will join 56 apprentices already participating in Barminco’s accredited and highly rec...ognised apprentice program, which has been running since the late 1990’s.
