22.01.2022 The Barnardos Mother of the Year New South Wales 2020, proudly supported by ALDI Australia is Margie Bailey. When Margie said goodbye to her last little one after 36 years of fostering children in need, her friend, Margueritte, felt Australia needed to say a proper thank you. Margie, 59, and her husband, Ron Bailey, began fostering in their 20s. The inspirational couple has provided a stable and loving home for hundreds of children in their time of need, along with two of her own children and now grandchildren. You’re an inspiration to us all, Margie. Congratulations!

15.01.2022 Mother of the Year has been a significant event each year for Barnardos Australia and we were looking forward to the 25th year of celebrating the enormous contribution that mums make in shaping Australia's future. COVID19 has had a significant impact on this event. Due to current isolation rules, we are unable to hold the state events, along with the national event in Sydney. Although we are disappointed by this, we completely understand the need to abide by these rules. Whi...le we find ourselves in extraordinary times, we want to keep the spirit of the event and find ways to celebrate the mum’s in each state, along with the national winner. With this in mind, we have decided to shift our focus from actual in person events and implement an online event to make these announcements, acknowledging and celebrating our mum’s. We will keep you updated on the announcements as we draw closer to Mother’s Day.

15.01.2022 We feel so lucky to have the support of many incredible ambassadors. Honoured to have Ms Jo Casamento journalist, panelist and supermum host our NSW State Announcement next month in Sydney!
