11.01.2022 All they see is the nice paychecks, nice trucks, decent home for the family & kids, vacations, our crazy goals were striving for. How it must be nice to have all these things, and not worry about anything like a normal person would. What they dont see, is when we pack our bags with tears in our eyes and our families. When we hug, kiss, and say goodbye to our loved ones. When they beg us not to go, but we still walk out the door. They dont see the kilometres we drive.... They dont see the hours we work. They dont see the look on our face when the closest thing to home is hearing about it through the phone. How they talk about their struggles, and we cant be there for them. Im sure weve all at one point wanted to say hell with this, and go back home. But theres a sacrifice to be made. We do it for them. Heres to the brotherhood that makes that sacrifice.
