24.01.2022 Lots of honey available at the moment. The hives have been full to the brim, with not even another gram of honey being able to fit inside every hive. The rains have brought with them the ability for the flowering plants to actually produce nectar. Also the much needed pollen that the bees ise for protein, is essential to the development of the brood(the up and coming baby bees). So please feel free to bring a jar and I can fill it for you for $12 a kilogram. ... Check out the pics below. They are of the honeycomb that the bees have stored the pollen. They never store different pollen in the same cell, so they are very particular about where each pollen can go. Notice the difference in colours. This is because the bees have gathered pollen from different trees and flowers. Pollen is used by the bees to make a thing we call Bee Bread. They mix the pollen with some nectar & honey and a tiny bit of royal jelly and some water and make a paste that they feed to the little bee larvae before they go thru the cocoon phase, just like a butterfly does.

13.01.2022 Some nice honey fresh from the hives on Monday! Available now in 1kg jars or bring your own container for me to fill and I will give a couple of dollars discount!! The honey at the moment is mostly Iron Bark and some Stringybark and White Clover.
