25.01.2022 Hi all, In case you didn't know, it is 'irons' only off the 4th tee until further notice. With Canada Bay Club's newly created outdoor seating there now poses an injury risk to their patrons from golf balls. During competition failure to abide by this rule will result in disqualification. ... We will be bring up some of the concerns raised by members with City of Canada Bay. The following points will be communicated to the Council on behalf of member's (if you have additional concerns please write to council directly): 1. Course will need re-rating for the slope system 2. Hybrids should be allowed as they have replaced irons in the golf bag as they go straighter and are less likely to go over the fence than a driver or iron 3. Many older members hit driver on every hole and can't get it over the fence if they tried why penalise them? (we do see the point but it's very hard to know where to draw the line there and police it). 4. Why wasn't the risk identified during the development application stage and the proposed design adjusted for this risk ?

08.01.2022 VALE Vinnie Laws Our hearts are deeply saddened as we advise of the passing of Vincent Laws, aged 91. Vinnie was an inspiration to many, still playing golf competitively into his 90's. Vinnie was a keen Clubman and competitor, always at the Friday night draw to book his early tee time with his son Shane. His success at BPGC includes 3 C-Grade Match Play Championships and winning the C-Grade Club Championship 4 times. Vinnie also made a huge contribution to the Sydney soccer s...cene, both playing and coaching - he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. The Club is very grateful to Vinnie and his family for his contribution to our Club, we offer our sincere condolence to his family and friends for their loss, may he rest in peace. 04.01.2022 Dear Members, It's working now - follow the instructions on the link below--, after you register and set the profile you will come to scoring option, choose social and the payment request will come up Following positive member feedback, BPGC have chosen to offer the MiScore App as an optional scoring platform to all Members for both competition and social play beyond the expiry of the free trial. From today an update will apply to the MiScore App which will require users to... subscribe to the app platform for $16.49 (inc. GST) per year. The payment for this annual subscription will be completed through the app interface and charged to your App Store or Google Play Store account. The annual subscription allows digital scoring for both competition and social play not only at Barnwell Park but at over 500 other participating facilities across Australia. FOR REIMBURSEMENT; Send your payment receipt to membership at barnwellparkgolfclub dot com dot au along with your member number. (a screen shot of the receipt will be fine). The Club will then credit / reimburse your bar account with the $16.49. As part of the app update, users will also be required to complete a quick app registration process.
