22.01.2022 The AGM of the Barnawartha Football Club was held on November 22nd. The Committee elected are as follows; President- Chris Peirce Vice President- Gerard O' Connor (Jock )... Deputy Vice Presidents- Andrew Wiffen and Errol Gibb (Past Players organiser) Treasurer- Jo Dalbosco Secretary- Deb Harvey General Committee- Whitney Passalick (Socials and Trainer), Fred Blunden (Games Secretary), David Ross (Trainer), Sue Petzke (Assistant Treasurer), Bri Anson (Sponsorship), Deb Blunden (Canteen). 14.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Greetings to all our club members, supporters, players and wider supporting community. AFL NEB are keeping the Committee updated with regular meetings during the Covid- 19 pandemic. Unfortunately, at this stage there has been no decision of when the season will begin, or whether it will go ahead at all. We will post updates to keep you informed as further news comes to hand. In the meantime, we have joined the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle fundraiser. If you ar...e interested you can purchase tickets at a cost of $5 each to potentially win some great prizes. 13.01.2022 The Past Players refreshments raffle was drawn tonight at Eddie's Tavern in Wodonga. 1st prize was won by Bryan Roebuck from Pascoe Vale 2nd prize was won by Shaun Wilhelm from Wodonga and 3rd prize was won by Barry Johnston from Moama. 12.01.2022 A call out to our BFC community with the return of training imminent we are in need of a Covid Safety Officer for the club (In line with government legislation) This position will be need to filled by 1 or 2 people and will involve doing an online 15 minute free course. We are putting this out to our community for expressions of interest in this position.... That being said the club Can Not resume training !! Until such time as this position is filled. 05.01.2022 Dear Members, Nearly 12 months ago I was appointed as president of Barnawartha Netball Club and could never have predicted the events to occur this season in a ...million years! We started with the most horrendous conditions with bushfires and then the pandemic hit our shores. We did our best to try and keep a season running for our juniors but lost the arm wrestle with COVID19 on that front. Behind the scenes much work has been done to ensure our club is covid safe and ready to go when a 2021 season commences, however that may look. We have secured grants while things have been quiet ensuring we are financially secure for our future members. It is with some sadness that I announce that due to my work I will not be able to be a part of that next stage. I have accepted a teaching role in Mildura and am stepping down from my role as president while my family transitions to our new location. I may be the only president in Barnawartha netball history to be able to say that while I was president we didnt lose (or win) a single game! I am pleased to announce Lisa Bradshaw has agreed to step into the role of president until we are able to have our next AGM where a new committee will be voted in by our club members. Lisa Bradshaw has been an excellent vice president and will be a fantastic president and caretaker of the club. She has a huge passion for our club and has demonstrated that already as a player, coach and vice president. Lisa Bradshaw will be supported by our vice president Amanda Bownds treasurer Nicole jackson and acting secretary Claudine Daunt. Thankyou Lisa ! Kindest Regards Kylie Virtue
