Entry Fees $20 per vehicle payable on the day includes all applicable main categories only. Novelty categories are a Gold Coin Donation per Category. 14.01.2022 *BAROOTA BUSHCAMP SA* Warning this is a true blue bush camp with no bells or whistles here. But great for an overnight stop. Driving along the... Augusta Hwy/Princes Hwy you will find this bushcamp about 7kms North of the Port Germein turn off. It’s well signposted from the Highway and it’s about a kilometer along a gravel road to the check-in point just follow the signs. Yep there is a check point .You need to stop and literally check in and pay your money this is done by honesty and your arrival may be under video surveillance. The owner does do a check each day so you will get caught if you don’t pay up. Once done just follow the arrows to find a suitable site. The camp ground is on 20 acres of land and set up for tents, camper trailers, caravans and mobile homes. There is plenty of room but do yourself a favour and walk around to find your camping spot for the night. Some of the trees are quite low, so take note. We were told not to park too close to the house because of the generator. But then others had generators too and they didn’t bother us. Pets are welcome even horses that are welcome to stay in the yards. We noticed a few dish washing areas throughout the camp area with signs saying Caution non-pottable water, so do not drink. Lots of fire pits too and firewood is available to purchase. Rugged camp kitchen with BBQ Hot showers and toilets in a large shed which are very clean. TV/Telstra reception No power No rubbish bins take your rubbish with you. No dump point $10 per person per night for Adults (children under 16 free) $5 per person per night for pensioners. You can also buy ice, milk and eggs. We were lucky it wasn’t too windy as everything at the moment is so dry and the dust storms have been incredible. Not sure but it may be a bit muddy in the wet. 09.01.2022 Hi All, Spots are filling quick with only a couple of spots left to enter the camp oven comp. Entry into the competition is $20.00 for team of maximum of 2 and this includes your camp for the night and entry into the whole event to enjoy the entertainment!!!.... There are limited spots so late registrations will be advised if they can enter on the day if there is spots still available. Cooking times are from 12.30pm to 5.30pm with judging been conducted at 5.30pm. Competitors will be judged by the general public tasting the dishes served. Competitors will serve their dish by providing a ladle or sample of their dish per person. Firewood and camp ovens will be provided The fires will be supervised by the appropriate authority No pre-packaged food allowed All meat will be suppled to each competitor and must be nominated 1 week prior to the event. Prizes will be awarded to winners for 3 positions 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 1st prize $200.00, 2nd Prize $100.00, 3rd prize $50.00 For more info PM me and i will send you a Registration form.

02.01.2022 I put together a bit of a video from last years camp oven camp out. Was a great day and night. This years looking to be allot bigger and we are going to be donating proceeds to the Aussie helpers to help support the Aussie battlers in the drought relief.
