19.01.2022 Is your lawn starting to look like this? It could be the work of curl grubs or lawn beetles. How to test? dig up your lawn and see what is under it, or soak your lawn and put a cover overnight, in the morning check under the cover for any signs of insects or grubs that could be damaging it. Your local hardware shop should have a treatment for such pest.

18.01.2022 Are you thinking of starting your own gardening business or do you already have one? Who do you talk to, to gain some practical wisdom? Us of course! I also had a mar...Continue reading

14.01.2022 How to minimise green waste going into your bin? -This lawn was knee high, so I mowed on the highest setting without a catcher. -Then mow on the preferred lower setting without a catcher. -What you are doing is mulching the clippings as you go over it. -Put the catcher on with the mower at the highest setting and pick up the left over clippings. ... -The fine clippings left behind will break down and feed the lawn whilst the removed clippings will fit in your bin easier :) See more

10.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder to get your fire safety plan ready this summer.
10.01.2022 To all my window cleaner and cleaner friends; the secret for shiny windows is dishwashing liquid (morning fresh) and a squirt of vinegar, it will make your windows extra shiny and your customers will praise your work, for any sticky muck try eucalyptus oil. To my gardener friends, the secret for lying turf is kneading the rolls together, butting the turf right up to each roll and using the karate chop motion knead the turf together. if you don't do this you can end up with gaps that will need loam. These are simple tips that will make a differce to your finsh product.
10.01.2022 Did you know that the Barossa is 30% owned by foreign investors? Due to our political sensitivity we cannot disclose who the main corporate bodies are.

07.01.2022 Sulphate of Potash is a fertiliser rich in potassium that encourages growth of quality fruit and colourful flowers. It also helps plants resist fungus attack. It is an effective means of increasing potassium levels when using organic fertilisers that tend to be low in potassium. The granular formula is easy to spread and provides a slow release of potassium. It is ideal for use on pot plants, gardens and lawns that require a boost.

04.01.2022 How to unload a trailer in less than 5 minutes? Dig, tie & drive! You must put a large branch underneath to hook the rope to. If I had the time I would get two bits of flat bar, weld two hooks at the front end, have a pivot tie point at the rear and drive. If you have the time to pattent such design you might not have to work for the rest of your life!!

02.01.2022 Turns out, banana peels are a rich source of nutrients your plants crave: Potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, along with a host of other minerals your plants need. Here's the deal: Using them in your garden is a snap and since it's free fertilizer, adding them to your garden is a great idea.
