24.01.2022 We are excited to announce... Things are looking a little better for dance studios with the restrictions easing and we will be re-opening our studio doors in Term 3!! ALL CLASSES will be back in action as of Monday the 20th of July and we cant wait to see everyone!

24.01.2022 It has been 12 weeks since we had to temporarily close our studio doors due to COVID 19, and boy oh boy are we missing dance!! In our 19 years of operation, we have NEVER experienced anything like this. Lets all cross our fingers that the Dance industry receive some good news soon with the easing of restrictions

23.01.2022 Well.... We did not see that coming! This is Miss Katelyns senior adv jazz class last night- giving us all of the feels after hearing the announcement yesterday As of midnight last night, the government has forced us to close once again, with the expected time of closure being 2 weeks. All classes from today, Tuesday the 17th are cancelled until further notice. ... Hang in there dancers, we know you are sad, and we are too. This year has been tough! We will get through this together and we will see you very soon! I will keep in touch with families over the coming days once we know more... 21.01.2022 Right now Dance studios across South Australia are hurting. We had hoped that the announcement regarding the easing of restrictions today would bring some relief to our industry, sadly not. We are heartbroken to say the least... Although we are unable to open right now, we are still hopeful to re-open at the beginning of Term 3 as previously communicated with our families We will be back soon Barossa Dance families. 19.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE for BDCO families..... Dear BDCO families, It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to let you know that we have made the decision to suspend all Barossa Dance Company classes in the short-term, effective immediately. ... While there is still no clear guideline for organizations like ours to follow, in light of the recent announcements made by the Australian Government, we feel we need to take immediate and responsible action and prioritize the health and safety of our dance family and the wider community. Please know that this last week has been one of the hardest weeks both professionally and personally for us here at Barossa Dance Company. It really breaks our hearts to have to do this. I feel for our students, my staff, and my business. Your support has meant and will continue to mean the world to us. Wishing you health and happiness in the weeks ahead. Please keep dancing at home whilst we are on our extended break, and we hope to see you all very soon. I will be sure to keep in touch over these coming weeks. Unfortunately due to our COVID closure and restrictions in place, this sadly was not a possibility this year. Therefore we held an ‘in- house examination’ for them with Miss Kim. 18.01.2022 It’s Concert filming day!! What a roller coaster ride 2020 has been! Out of 38 dance weeks, we were closed for 14 of them. We fought hard to get to this point... And, whilst things will be a little different today to what we had originally hoped for, we are so grateful to have made it this far and to be in the theatre. Dancers, we are so incredibly proud of you. What you have achieved in such a short amount of time is phenomenal. Have the most amazing day today, we can’t wa...it to see you shine onstage. 01.01.2022 This morning I had the pleasure of watching and filming Miss Katelyns Fairy Ballet classes to put up on Band for our ‘virtual watching week’. These little dancers were brilliant, it was amazing to see how much they had learnt in just one term and to see how much joy Ballet brings to their Thursday mornings. If you are a BDCO family and have not yet joined our private Band group, there are a lot of wonderful snippets from classes throughout the week to see, a little insight into what our dancers have been working on this term. An email has been sent as to how to join... I would definitely jump on and have a look- it will brighten your day
