21.01.2022 Celebrating International Nurses Day! Today we proudly celebrate more than 200 extraordinary nursing staff at OneCare. The International Council of Nurses was celebrated on May 12, 1965. May 12 is an important date to all nurses, as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing. In January 1974, this day was officially made International Nurses Day.... To each of our nurses, you are an important part of our OneCare family and we thank you for all that you do. Today we made sure that each of our nurses received a very special thank you and a small gift to acknowledge their amazing contribution. Please keep safe and know that you are appreciated

07.01.2022 It is with profound sadness that the Board of OneCare, Executive, Management and the wider OneCare family announce the sudden passing of our Chairman, Mr Phil Butler OAM on Sunday 31 January. It was a great privilege for us to have Phil involved in the governance of OneCare for the past 17 years, displaying tireless leadership and expertise. He played a significant role in the amalgamation of the Umina Park Nursing Home and the St Luke’s Association to form OneCare. Phil was well known and respected for his significant community achievements throughout Tasmania. He served in a wide variety of community organisations and received many awards of recognition, including the Medal of the Order of Australia. The thoughts of everyone at OneCare are with Phil's family and friends, and we extend our deepest sympathies to them.
