06.01.2022 All local, South Australian and beyond artists are invited to apply for the EMERGENCE Vintage Festival Art Prize 2021. The 2021 Art Prize encourages artists to create new works responding to the theme of EMERGENCE. Emergence is the process of becoming visible after being concealed - into existence, into prominence. Originating from the latin word ‘emergere’ meaning bring to light, Emergence straddles the edge of becoming, it is the unforeseen. As our lives unfurl across unex...pected times, we are launched into a regenerative space of creation and renewal. What transformation will emerge from the ashes of best laid plans? What new growth has yet to shoot from deep transformation? What potential is rising to the brim? Emergence can be physical or deeply emotional, where what was inside is now outside. A connection between past and future. It can spell hope or catastrophe. The artwork can be in any medium in both 2D and 3D format and there will be a first prize awarded and a People's Choice award. Entries close 28th February, 2021. For more information regarding the upcoming Vintage Festival Art Prize or to obtain an application form, please visit our website, https://www.barossagallery.com.au/emergence or email us at [email protected] or call 8563 8340.
