24.01.2022 Attention families : Please be advised that the SA Education Department has shut down all childcare centres and school as of tomorrow due to a COVID 19 cluster in the Barossa. 10.01.2022 Hello everyone, The Barossa Valley Community Kids (BVCK) is a not-for-profit Community Childcare Centre that has cared for children in our community for the pas...t 30 years. We take children aged 3 months to 5 years old. We have 2 separate integrated rooms, the under 2's room is for children aged 3 months to 2 years and the over 2's room is for ages 2 to 5 years, we also have a wonderful fully integrated nature play area for all the children to explore and learn within. 02.01.2022 Barossa Valley Community Kids is a non-for-profit, community based, integrated childcare Centre that has been providing high quality care to local children aged 3 months 5 years since 1989. We are currently looking for an experienced, Diploma qualified or higher Educator to join our team as Room Leader. We are a small and welcoming team with a love of Early Childhood education and children. BVCK is an extremely unique Centre as we have an enrolment capacity of just 28 plac...es per day and are situated in a bush setting with the ability for extended community curriculum, providing high quality care, support and encouragement of children through engaging play based environments. Added to this we are fully supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated parent committee. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Centre with responsibilities including mentoring fellow Educators and evolving the programming & curriculum within the room. There will also be the opportunity to progress professionally with training in Centre management and the expectation of fulfilling an Assistant Director position when required in the Director’s absence. Proven leadership experience, a thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework as well as current childcare regulations, legislations and standards will be beneficial. The position will require the ability to work across varying shifts within the Centre operation hours of 7am 6pm, Monday-Friday. Applicants must have all current working with children Police clearance through DCSI, RAN, CPR & First Aid 004.
