03.01.2022 " THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PRODUCT " **INTRODUCING** Kathy Travers Springsure QLD ... My name is Kathy Travers, and along with my husband Charlie we own BARR ANNE Alpacas We run a cattle property and transport business with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 Grandchildren, 40kms north/east of Springsure. I first saw alpacas at our local show back in 2013 and instantly fell in love with an appaloosa called HOTSPOT. The display of animals was from Rosegum Alpacas whom we work side by side with to produce some of the states best quality alpacas. I purchased a small herd, back in 2013 from Rosegum , then over the years, through careful selection, I have grown the herd to approx 80 animals today, which mainly are suri alpaca (the silky dread lock fleece ones) I attend many of the local shows and field days with my products. Some of these products I have made with the fleece from my animals. I do felting with alpaca fleece with some of the products I have made being hats, scarves and just recently mobile phone cases.
