25.01.2022 Just an update for everyone wanting to make appointments to have their flu vaccination. We have been advised that our order of Government supplied (free) vaccines will be delivered some time in mid April but as yet no confirmed date has been provided. Additionally, the release of private Flu vaccines that we have been expecting for the past couple of weeks has now been prioritised by the Government to go to Immunise front line Government health workers. We will keep you informed as updates come through.

24.01.2022 One of Doc's responsibilities is monitoring fatigue management. Yesterday he made sure that our Practice Manager (not known for getting home before dark lately) was escorted off the premises and home at a reasonable hour.

24.01.2022 We've taken all necessary precautions to ensure that we can provide the required social distancing for patients who need to come to the surgery.

18.01.2022 Just a brief update for all of patients, there has been a lot of "get your Flu Vax early, speak to your doctor" type advertising over the last few days which has led to the understanding that surgeries have received their vaccines. As yet we have not received any vaccines and are still of the understanding that we will not receive them until Mid April. We'll keep you up to date as the situation changes. Thanks to all of our patients for your patience and understanding.

18.01.2022 What a difference 19 days makes. When Doc last showed his face he was swamped by demand for flu vaccinations, today is is swamped by empty vaccine boxes. We still have a way to go to get everybody done, but those numbers are reducing everyday. If you still need to have a flu shot, give our staff a call and keep Doc busy.

17.01.2022 When setting up for a Saturday clinic it's always important to keep your front door key on you, just in case you lock yourself out. Oh, and you can't rely on the rostered doctor to have her key either. Thank God for Husbands.

16.01.2022 As an addtional preventative health measure, from today, we will temporarily restrict all account transactions to either Credit Card, EFTPOS. or Direct Credit.

05.01.2022 This is Doc, he decided to pop in today and look over some things here at Barrack Street. Word has it, he'll be showing up in all kinds of places doing all sorts of things. Watch this space.

03.01.2022 It's been a hectic week here for us, as i'm sure it has been for most practices and we'd just like to pass on our thanks to our patients who have called and came in for their understanding. It is taking us a bit longer to answer some calls and this is due to the fact that we have to ask a few more questions of you than normal to ensure the health & safety of everyone that comes into the practice. We want to ensure that those of you that do visit for a an appointment are affo...rded the necessary time to have our doctors address your concerns and ask that you be mindful of what it is you would like the doctor to address and how long it may require. Keep an eye on this page, as we hope to have some information about flu vaccinations soon. https://doctoramelia.com//how-to-help-your-doctor-not-run/
